Jesus christ, can we all stop and appreciate the sound design at the end there. Truly the stuff of nightmares. Regardless of the quality of the game, that brought out an intensity rarely seen in mainstream survival horror. And that final quote with its washed out font is very reminiscent of something an 80s Eurotrash horror film would do. This guy knows his shit.

So, Power Drill Massacre has the exact same teddy bear in the sugar tunnels somewhere, it’s obvious it’s for the little girl and then, at the end of night watch the teddy bear is laying down on the ground, after, you hear the little girl screaming which definitely means that the girl screaming is the little girl from power drill massacre, and the driller killer most likely kidnapped her because one of the notes in power drill massacre says that someone’s daughter got kidnapped in the woods so yes, night watch is definitely a prequel to Power Drill Massacre

The cameraman of this 1970s movie is impressive, especially at the end where he focuses on the head of the protagonist going down the hill. They managed to sync their bopping with the head, making it look stationary. Good job, filming crew.

@@10tus61 His videos include any type of indie game.. A lot of them aren't horror related. Scissormon provides exactly what I want, whereas ABG might get lucky every 7 or so videos. I just feel like Scissormon makes better choices, but that's just my opinion.
But if I'm not mistaken, Max horror only shows gameplays instead of a full walkthrough

I love that Puppet Combo took the complaints to heart, and made the musical stingers a little less harsh.
I love these games, but sometimes the sound effects are like an ice pick through the skull.
To a certain extent it’s obvious he’s making the sound design intentionally jarring and adrenaline inducing but not everyone can stomach sporadic ear rape

BTW, my rifle is gone, not a big deal.
The ranger never had a chance, if we're being realistic. The killer was able to slip in and out of the watchtower while ranger was asleep. He could get to him whenever he wanted. That camping family was just a bonus.
@ballyman On one end, I understand what you mean. However, if you feel nothing is amiss and you're "safe", why would you take precautions? Unless a person's seen combat, they tend to be as bumbling and aloof as this guy.

But he don't seems pretty worried about missing a rifle, I tried to play this game and I couldn't pass that part. I was like, he got here, took my stuff, and now he is gonna jump on me in any moment... xd

Nah. If you look at 29:39, when the ranger enters that field, you can vaguely make out the killer's silhouette/graphic color in the distance. He's triggered as soon as you get there. That's the reason Scissormon stops.

There's this weird, vicious cycle I always fall into where I watch Dashie play a Puppet Combo game, get annoyed that his stupid ass can't follow simple directions and complete it, then angrily go to your channel to see if you've done a complete playthrough. I love coming back to this i like how Puppet Combo brings the power drill massacre in the night watch and once he gets you he takes you to his lair aka the bad ending in the game
I've watched other gamers do a lets play of this game and I thought I've seen everything but this is the first time I've seen someone actually take the rifle and jump from the tower, wow great job

Yes. Also, the computer in the tower shows it's 1978. Power Drill Massacre story happened in 1987 which means that Night Watch is a prequel to PDM

maybe its because i grew up playing it. but i always thought the ps1 era of graphics was top notch for horror games. i had someone who grew up in the ps3 era of games play silent hill 1 and they thought the graphics made it was scarier because of how undefined and distant things were. idk how to describe it. a scene they brought up was the school in silent hill 1 where the monsters would come out of the darkness from not only lack of lighting but lack of hardware to light that far and because of how plain and shapeless the monster was. we all hear stories of people seeing things with no face or details. extremely well detailed graphics dont necessarily generate scary

so i've always wondered. is the whole first bit a dream? (he had the power go out which he should have plenty hence him staying there for a week? and also i'm gonna assume he never had in reality. so i guess he dreamed it up but it just feels like a big mystery to wonder what happened to that damn rifle!)
I get it now, that little girl asking for help is the little girl in the Drill murderer game where you're playing as the woman, that same little girl is getting chased by the killer as well, at the end of that game she manages to escape because of the other state ranger that was supposed to arrive a week later but after receiving no info about this character that State park ranger had to go earlier and therefore he saved the little girl but couldn't save the woman (the protagonist in the other game)
