Your 2nd Goodwill is usually the crap I find at a thrift store. Goodwill should start a burn pile for all the Jim Nabors records I always see everytime I go there.
That first store had a lot better albums than some of the Goodwills I go too. I agree the Kennedy First Family record really is everywhere. You would think they lead us into outer space or something.
Yeah that first Goodwill had some decent stuff. You just gotta grab even common rock in that situation if it's a $1 or less. Good trade in fodder. The Dead at thrift is pretty much like seeing a unicorn at this point. Though not long ago it was no biggie. Enjoyed!
I just went to a thrift shop in Denver because my wife wanted a picture frame. After looking and touching the records in it I felt I needed a shower. I did film it for a future midweek as I only find crap in them. Your first stop actually had some d3cent stuff but after that your time would have been better spent counting the ants on the sidewalk. Good to see you have now become a Beatles channnel, huge congrats for that
Wow, I'd be excited if my Goodwill had any of those records. We have a lot more but I've never heard of any of them. It's like a bunch of local church singers or something.
95% crap is a good goal. I remember someone once told me they disliked 95% of rock music. Not sure what happened to that person. The first store had enough records for somebody to start their own UA-cam channel. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen. I might have taken a chance on that There’s a Riot Goin On. Love these videos. Somebody has to be a truth teller in THE VC. Cheers, Sam! ✌🏻
Yeah, I have too much respect for the internet to just lithely post 100% garbage. Or, do I? Definitely some good titles in the first shop - a bit of a white whale these days. A definite VC starter pack. Cheers!
That 2nd store had a Warhol-designed cover for the Paul Anka LP (@ the 7:33 mark). Depending on country of pressing and condition, worth somewhere between 20-40 USD. Yeah, I know...Paul Anka, whodathunkit?
How are you not getting all these amazingly good vinyls here? I would get about 50 vinyls there but it literally is painful to watch you not get all that awesome stuff. You’re literally calling Santana “just another Santana vinyl at goodwill”. Santana is amazing, and this kind of stuff actually resells too
I know Santana is amazing. I have a dozen Santana albums. I actually did buy some of these to resell. I believe I mentioned that at the end, but maybe not-it’s been a while. Sorry to have caused you so much pain.
That first store wasn't bad. I saw about 7 albums that are in my collection including Santana, Who, Sly and Quicksilver. I'm pretty certain you picked up The Best of Tammy Wynette for yourself.
Yeah, it used to be better years ago. I think the people that are finding the good stuff now are constantly going. I don’t have that kind of patience. Cheers!
Many of these thrift stores have become so greedy now with the vinyl resurgance, putting asinine prices on crap like "the Patridge family" and anything with the mere hint of the Beatles.
Thrift stores are a joke now. They all have specialist now. A record guy, a sports card guy and even a Pokemon card guy to appraise this stuff. What these people keep for themselves and what employees don't want makes out to the floor and at ridiculous price guide book prices. My son fumes when he walks into a thrift shop and the Pokemon cards are in the glass case now with crazy book prices. He jumps them and tells them people donate this stuff and you're now turning it into a racket. I ran into an old highschool buddy about ten years ago and found out that he was a manager at our local Goodwill and asked him if they ever got any good records in like Beatles records. He said not real often but when they do, classic rock never leaves the backroom, the employees grab it including him. That's very disappointing. This stuff rubs me the wrong way because I've been collecting Beatles records since 1972 long before about 90% of collectors even thought about collecting their records. Christ, they just broke up two years before that in 1970. I buy to collect, not to turn around and make a buck in it. Since vinyl has exploded again you have a new group of leeches who have appeared that are vinyl experts now. This is what they do , hit yard and garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores to scarf up records only to make a buck on it. That crap pisses me off, they're parasites.

Paul Anka's "The Painter" is a masterpiece.
That Kennedy First Family record is everywhere
A thrift shop staple to be sure. I can remember rifling through an overstuffed bin at a savers in the 90’s and seeing a lifetime’s worth of them.
That first store had a lot better albums than some of the Goodwills I go too. I agree the Kennedy First Family record really is everywhere. You would think they lead us into outer space or something.

At this point finding something to flip or trade is the best I can hope to find out there. I don’t have the dedication required anymore.

I’m sorry you had to subject yourself to this. I hope you didn’t feel the need to take a shower immediately after.
Douche you better have bought that Tammy Wynette she’s beautiful and ancient and trending! That first shop was lit 🔥
She’s justified and she’s ancient for sure. That first one was a pleasant surprise indeed. Cheers!
Tammy Wnette beautiful... U ort t get out more
Wow, I'd be excited if my Goodwill had any of those records. We have a lot more but I've never heard of any of them. It's like a bunch of local church singers or something.
I hear you. Over the last decade the quality of what is out there has declined significantly.
The butch Cassidy soundtrack has Harry Nilsson and I would buy a totally fried Beatles LP for a buck

No such thing as a crap record
Depends really on the person buying it
A 1dollar record can be a priceless gem to another
Respect..

That is a nice tip for sure. Thanks for watching and sharing that! Cheers!

Far better than what I normally see for sure. Yeah, I picked up the Wynette as an upgrade copy.
I’ve never found anything at goodwill worth buying, bad luck? Your stops at least had some decent titles. Nice work Cheers
Yeah, it used to be better years ago. I think the people that are finding the good stuff now are constantly going. I don’t have that kind of patience. Cheers!
Cover on that Jacksons warranted a grab. Maybe. Almost. Well no lol
Seemed a bit out of place among the usual dreck for sure.
I'm sorry your thrift store at least has recognizable artist's
Thank you so much for the condolences. It's been a rough six months but I am starting to feel much better now. Thanks for hanging out. Cheers!
Damn... Actually decent albums...
I know - very hard to believe.
$1.79 per lp here n southern Indiana
Yeah, around my area it varies from shop to shop. Some have them for 99 cents but most are between $1.99 and $2.99.
Where is this goodwill located)
They are all in Arizona - Phoenix East Valley
My guy casually skips americas horse with no name, and elo? If i found that here id be very happy
I’ve had both since the 90’s. Not great resale value in the condition they were here - or I would’ve flipped them. Thanks for watching.
Nobody likes a quitter 🎉
Ha! Indeed. Thanks for hanging.
Sad 😢
😞
Don't call records Crap
💩
Many of these thrift stores have become so greedy now with the vinyl resurgance, putting asinine prices on crap like "the Patridge family" and anything with the mere hint of the Beatles.
Yeah, I can’t argue - I have seen plenty of examples of silly pricing and it’s probably only going to get worse. Cheers!
