The R gets soo much hate😭 but I can see why. Runs local in 3 boroughs and somewhat slow. The R is one of my Favorite lines in the system. Great video as always fuse!
i have a soft spot for the R because it’s the first line I have a memory of riding and it’s the first letter of my name. and QBL is just a prime example of how insane street naming in Queens is, for example you have 67th Street, 67th Avenue, 67th Road, 67th Place, 67th Drive etc. like at that point you might as well just not number the streets at all and just kept it how it was (RIP Beebe Avenue)
My Fun fact about the R train! It happens to be one of the slowest trains since it runs local in the 3 boroughs and never goes above ground which is boring! During 2012-2013’s Hurricane Sandy, The R train run via the Manhattan Bridge on weekends! The last stop was Court Street on weekdays! IMO I never liked the R train! It’s very slow and no matter where you go it always makes every local stop never express! Although I have to say that I live close to the 95th Street stop on the R but I rather prefer the D since it’s faster and it goes over the Manhattan Bridge
Honestly I used to s**t on the R, but it's a super long local route with a lot of turns in Brooklyn and the long turn by Queens Plaza. Yes, I miss 2013 days when the R was cut back, it also ran to Whitehall in '14 I believe!
@@FuseguyisCool Never I had a problem with riding the R train through Manhattan and Brooklyn. Back in 2013-2014 the R resumed service back to 71th Ave after Sandy! Although it’s like my least favorite train to ride except it gives me extra time when I go to Manhattan. If I happen traveling from 95th Street I would transfer at 36 St to the D and N make it more fun since it’s express

the R needs at least one express portion but i don’t think that’s possible without interlining even more than what already exists
