Nolan knew that hollywood studios with rights to comics will want cinematic universes. He felt: Batman deserves a series with deeper, long lasting value. Bruce can be a realistic human person. Nolan completed a deep, respectable trilogy. Now WB can play around with it's JL-Batman as much as it likes to.

@@zpezar8532 I love it when reboots of established characters hold back on the title screen or the character's catchphrase till the very end, as if to say "NOW we've earned this." Casino Royale did the same thing and it was awesome.
Whenever I listen to this song, I always picture Bruce hanging onto the train pole talking to his parents, hearing his father talk about how people in gotham have been going through hard times. And around 2:37, I picture Bruce hearing his dad's heartbeat with his stethoscope.
For me, this music means the true love, the incomplete love of Bruce and Rachel. Somehow Hans Zimmer felt the vibes and Howard Shore and Newton just created it.

Never again will cinema be touched with the magic and glory that this trilogy delivered it's simply the best it will ever get and ever will be, this is both the greatest triumph and greatest tragedy in equal measure
DC: "You really started something, Nolan. Marvel throwing out desperate popcorn flicks, hope in the Batman franchise restored." Nolan: "But?" DC: "But Man of Steel received poor feedback. Not to mention the MCU." Nolan: "MCU?" DC: "We make The Dark Knight, they make Daredevil. We start a new Superman, they beat us with a talking tree." Nolan: "And?" DC: "And you're not directing Batman anymore, and Snyder is rather questionable. Now take this guy, oscar winner, both best picture and direction. Got a taste for Batman like you. Likes to work out a lot." *Nolan flips the page to a picture of Ben Affleck* "...I'll look into it." DC: "We never said thank you." Nolan: "...and you'll never have to." *jumps off the roof*
+Bradley Green, "DC" should look into Marvel more, they've made plenty of good films in the MCU alone, not to mention other films not under their banner. And Man of Steel? Let's not also forget Green Lantern, Superman Returns, and Dark Knight Rises were terrible films.
+The name's Deadpool, Yeah, to be fair, the MCU HAS turned out much better movies then DC has, at least for the most part (I personally didn't like Iron Man 2 or Ant Man). I'm not gonna act like Batman Begins and The Dark Knight weren't fantastic movies, but everything else they've made hasn't done so well, and I don't just mean financially. Man of Steel and The Dark Knight Rises may have been financially successful, but they weren't written, acted, or shot very well.
whitewolf1310 I agree mostly. MCU started a little rough, but it got much better as it went. They planned it out better, where as WB is trying to play catch-up with their DC movies. Both Marvel and DC had great cartoon shows, video games, and even some pretty good live-action shows (though Flash and Arrow are hardly competition for Daredevil and Jessica Jones), but when it comes to live action adaptations, generally Marvel is doing a much better job, but I feel like they're tied with every other medium.
Thank you Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Cillian Murphy, Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Bill Finger, Bob Kane and DC Comics!
Don't know why but this musical melody always brings me to tears....Always giving me hope and keep me believing into the fact that no matter how situations get bad, there are always people who believes in Good always. Thank You Bruce.
this music is so incredible. Whenever i listen to it, an overwhelming rush of contemplation and philosophy clouds my mind, and a relentless melancholy overcomes my integrity. Lost for words...
Guys remember you can be broken or smh of that shit but never waste your time with "you not good enough for something" just do what you wanna do, do what no one does and get that what no one has.
This is my favorite movie of the trilogy. The Dark Knight and the Dark Knight Rises are bigger films in terms of scale, but this one is about Batman learning to cope with the loss of his parents, and learning of the essential nature of his guise as Bruce Wayne. Yes folks, like Superman, Batman is the real person, and Bruce Wayne is the alter ego! I think this movie encapsulates that notion to near perfection!
I think they’ve all gotten respectfully lazy. Today all superhero films feel like a product made for the soul purpose of financial gain. It will take time before we get another Richard Donner, Christopher Nolan, or Sam Raimi
@Captain Barbossa, I can't see how Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, Thor The Dark World, Age of Ultron, Thor Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Ant-Man and the Wasp were handled explicitly well.
*Two years after Dark Knight is released and kicks ass at the box office* DC: You know, you really started something. Faith in superhero movies restored. Hope from the critics... Nolan: But... DC: The fans are still divided. And we still haven't managed to get rid of Schumacher or any of the atrocities he's created. Nolan: We'll get there. We will bring back hope. DC: What about competition? Nolan: Competition? DC: From Marvel. We start making more animated movies, they make live-action movies. We start releasing to the home entertainment market, they release directly into theaters. And we have you making thought pieces, delving into the human psyche... Take a look at this guy. Talented TV show writer, sci-fi oriented, has a taste for the unconventional like you, here's what he looks like... (Shows photo of Joss Whedon) Nolan: I'll look into it. DC: We never said thank you. Nolan: ... ... and you'll never have to. *Jumps off roof and flies away*
Nearly 20 years later and this particular track still pops in my head. The last 20 seconds especially, as we get to see the newly promoted Lt. Gordon show his appreciation to The Batman. He turns around to him and says: “And you’ll never have to.” *as he proceeds to leap out the rooftop and spread his cape out* *Fade to black* Batman Begins
"Let me tell you something you already know, life ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are, it will be you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!!!
The fact that this video is about to be 16 years old in the next 3 days says enough that I'm not just too old, but I wished to go back in the movie theater and experience this again.
This, Barbastella (The Waynes death) and Eptesicus (Bruce´s flashback of his father) are my favorite ones from the soundtrack. They are all just so heartfelt but epic at the same time. This franchise is really a masterpiece. It finally expressed everything The Batman stands for on film.
JNH you're a fucking genius this and the unbreakable soundtrack give me such unique feel its just so different from everything else so beatiful yet so haunting at the same time and that small part from HZ at the end is just icing on the cake
Ever since I was 10-11, after seeing batman begins for the first time I have been a huge fan of Batman and this amazing theme. I always return and listen to this theme every once in a while to be awaken. This theme for some reason touches me on a whole other level. Each note played makes me want to cry while at the same time, I feel growth, strength, discipline, interest and devotion. I have a weird connection with this song for some reason, while my friends usually listen to other emotional songs like Creep, 505, when they are going through a hard time, I always find myself returning back here. It’s like a part of my heart, soul and dedication has been left in this song. Does anybody else feel like this towards this song?

Jim Gordon: I never said thank you.
Batman: And you'll never have to.
+Rishem Bhogal And the start of one of the GREATEST friendships/partnership in comic book history.

If the Bale Bat ever got anything right it was this little moment. Bleak realism...but hopeful determination.
This piece encompases so many emotions for me. From downfall, heartbreak, grief, melancholy, glimpse of hope, curiosity, determination, rise and rebirth at the end. Its a masterpiece.
I've learn lot of things from this man who doesn't actually exist
I noticed something awesome from the batman begins soundtracks:
Vespirtilio
Eptesicus
Myotis
Barbastella
Artibeus
Tadarida
Macrotus
Antrozous
Nycteris
Molossus
Corynorhinus
Lasiurus
try to find Batman. Thumbs up if you see it ;)
here's a clue: you can see it in capital letters
I hear them all is so powerless
They're all named after bats? :0
Yeah, little tidbit of fun that was done deliberately
Is that intended? Or did you arrange it like that?
oh and 2:31 always gets me (,: bruce remembering his dad with the sight of the stethoscope & alfred saying hell never give up on him😢
Nhmia Kahsay hope is the only real fuel driving us forward ....
This soundtrack is indescribably beautiful, especially the part from 0:50 to 1:10. I get very emotional during those seconds. Thumbs up if you think so too

Nolan + Zimmer = Legendary Masterpiece
Andrew Hong And christian bale. ;)
Andrew Hong Don't forget James Newton Howard too.
The Stereotypical Evil Mastermind May he rest in piece.
Nolan + Zimmer + Ledger= Godly Legendary Masterpiece
Hell Yeah !!!
this is such an emotional track from the film.
Batman Begins was the best film in the trilogy.
Fight me.
No
I won’t fight ya but How about all of them, they are all very good
For me that's between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight but all the trilogy is amazing.
Las 3 fueron obras maestras ,la 1 tiene ese toque especial por ser del año 2005
No the dark knight was best movie of all time the act of joker was amazing in that movie heath ledger is a amazing man
In my life I feel as if I haven't gotten to the other half of Corynorhinus yet.

im tryin to get there too man, why do we fall so we learn to pick ourselves up thats what drives me to never give up

1:57 Thomas Wayne shows the Wayne Tower to Bruce in fast train :).
Did you build this train, Dad?
Whenever I listen to this song, I always picture Bruce hanging onto the train pole talking to his parents, hearing his father talk about how people in gotham have been going through hard times. And around 2:37, I picture Bruce hearing his dad's heartbeat with his stethoscope.
It's so beautiful.
I thought I was the only one who loves this scene.
For me, this music means the true love, the incomplete love of Bruce and Rachel. Somehow Hans Zimmer felt the vibes and Howard Shore and Newton just created it.
Yo exactly. Sad and incomplete. The first half of the soundtrack is just that.
The Nolan Batman films were really something special.
2:30 pulls at my heartstrings so much. Bruce's love for his parents overcomes anything.
man i was 14 when this came out. I believed In nolan from the jump i knew he wouldnt fail us batman fans. I have loved batman for so long, & after watching this for the first time i literally almost cried. The soundtrack is just so beautiful. Thank you god for blessing us with nolans genius.
You can just feel the beautiful soundtrack, it;s the sound of heaven, that's how beautiful this sound is. It makes me cry everytime I hear it. I love this so much
Hey Nolan I never said thank you
And you'll never have to
Don't be afraid.
'Bruce, don't be afraid.'
Scarecrow's fear toxin enters the chat.
Never again will cinema be touched with the magic and glory that this trilogy delivered it's simply the best it will ever get and ever will be, this is both the greatest triumph and greatest tragedy in equal measure
One of the most moving and emotional pieces I’ve ever heard.
I can see that Michael Giacchino took inspiration from this in making the ending music of The Batman
DC: "You really started something, Nolan. Marvel throwing out desperate popcorn flicks, hope in the Batman franchise restored."
Nolan: "But?"
DC: "But Man of Steel received poor feedback. Not to mention the MCU."
Nolan: "MCU?"
DC: "We make The Dark Knight, they make Daredevil. We start a new Superman, they beat us with a talking tree."
Nolan: "And?"
DC: "And you're not directing Batman anymore, and Snyder is rather questionable. Now take this guy, oscar winner, both best picture and direction. Got a taste for Batman like you. Likes to work out a lot."
*Nolan flips the page to a picture of Ben Affleck* "...I'll look into it."
DC: "We never said thank you."
Nolan: "...and you'll never have to." *jumps off the roof*
LMAO
+Bradley Green *genuine applause.
Just looking at Batman in that picture and listening to this makes me cry!
Too late to say, I guess... but you're not alone, friend!
It brings me at peace with sadness.
Best Batman, with the best Batman score!
Eh maybe, and no way
this song specifically is good but Elfman all the way

The combination of music of Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard is perfect.
I love how this song begins so morose, but then ends on a triumphant note. :3
That's why I just listen from the start to just mid. :_)
Hans Zimmer = The God of Soundtracks.
I'm speechless and deeply moved. Huge chills all along.
This is what I call "Music".
James Newton Howard=The God of Soundtracks.Except the end it's JNH's work
This makes me cry so hard... All the TDNR soundtrack kills me everytime i listen to
I've heard of two TDKRs so far, but what's TDNR?
If you are asking what they actually mean, then here is the explanation :D : "The Dark Knight" = TDK. "The Dark Knight Rises" = TDKR
This song hits hard. 👌
This score was absolutely beautiful
It's been 15 years already. I always play this song whenever I hard to sleep. The rhymes are harmonious within my breath. It's beautiful music.
this music is so incredible. Whenever i listen to it, an overwhelming rush of contemplation and philosophy clouds my mind, and a relentless melancholy overcomes my integrity. Lost for words...
That's very wordy and verbose for a guy lost for words!
I never said "thank you".
And you'll never have to.
*EPIC!*
Guys remember you can be broken or smh of that shit but never waste your time with "you not good enough for something" just do what you wanna do, do what no one does and get that what no one has.
💯
This song :') makes me cry.
As I read in someone else's comment, the greatest Batman is not the one you fear or envy, but the one you pity.
From a brief moment in time when DC films were good.
Don't forget about Star Wars
I think they’ve all gotten respectfully lazy. Today all superhero films feel like a product made for the soul purpose of financial gain. It will take time before we get another Richard Donner, Christopher Nolan, or Sam Raimi
@Captain Barbossa, I can't see how Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, Thor The Dark World, Age of Ultron, Thor Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Ant-Man and the Wasp were handled explicitly well.
YaYa Inspired hi I’m from the future and I can say that with Wonder Woman, and aquaman DC is getting back there. Lol
Ethan Evans idk man, might not have to wait too long, Matt reeves is gonna bring dc back to stardom. He doesn’t let anyone fuck with his work
*Two years after Dark Knight is released and kicks ass at the box office*
DC: You know, you really started something.
(Shows photo of Joss Whedon)
Nolan: I'll look into it.
DC: We never said thank you.
Nolan: ... ... and you'll never have to.

My favorite Batman film...2005... Good Times...
Nearly 20 years later and this particular track still pops in my head. The last 20 seconds especially, as we get to see the newly promoted Lt. Gordon show his appreciation to The Batman.
He turns around to him and says: “And you’ll never have to.” *as he proceeds to leap out the rooftop and spread his cape out*
*Fade to black*
Batman Begins
1:20 is where deep feelings for me began to start
Me too
That opening piano piece. Wow! Just WOW!
It sad to lose someone u loved that she is always there for u every time I have to keep moving forward and never back down
The music paints thousands of pictures, it's enough to touch your heart.

WOW it gives me the chills, how beautiful this part is, i get lost in it.
one of the most touching and heartwarming scenes in the movie and this piece of music fits in beautifully
1:37-2:30 best part
Finally someone who agrees with me :)
2:31-2:53
Try to hear this part this reading a fucking sad history without cry xD
Watch "War of the Servers: Episode 4" to see this music in action! It is used in a very sad way.
True... that's the best part
I think all of it was the best part
So beautiful :')
Never ask for an easy life, ask for strength to endure a difficult one. Bruce Lee....
Beatiful just beatiful.
