thank you everyone for your comments :) i'm glad you enjoyed this tutorial! i'm going to keep making more. hope i'll have another 1 or 2 posted by the end of next week! PS which do you all prefer; A) when i talk in the studio during the video (sound quality is not always great) or B) when i do voiceover in the editing (when it's more clear with less background noise) i find pros and cons editing with both, I'm just wondering what you like???
Salty Sugar Plum i think i like it this way more, because you say whatever comes in your mind while doing the exercise, i get more information this way! Thanks a lot for your videos! They are the best!!!
Hello there! First of all, I would like to thank you a lot for this wonderful tutorial. I’ve been having difficulty with pique turns; no matter how much I practiced, it never got better and my turns in the center were always wobbly making me look really silly - so frustrating! But your tutorial almost helped me overcome it! Thank you! Can you also do a tutorial video on how to do chaine turns?
I love that needle analogy!!! it must be a different technique or method that goes through a la seconde. props to you if you do it! it feels so awkward and like, twisted on my body, like I cant gather everything in time for the turn.
i don't teach anymore. when i did it was only kids and teens. i'd like to teach adult since there a little more serious and more focused but the demand for adult beginner classes / teachers isn't very high, at least not around where i live
I take absolute beginner ballet classes at Alvin Ailey in Manhattan and in the past I've taken a few classes at Mark Morris in Brooklyn. They are pretty well attended. Thanks for the reply and a big thank you for your videos. The way you explain things is so helpful.
someone sent something to my paypal recently. try paypal.me/VBBallet . i think that works, now i just gotta figure out how to transfer it to my account lol cuz it's not happening automatically ha
I like the stepping over the puddle for a slight push, and I need to pay attention to where my arms are, a very helpful video!
I hope you never doubt that you're a fantastic teacher. Every video is like a thesis. And they're all so helpful!
You are an excellent teacher! Your explanation is the one that clicked, thank you so much!

I'm editing a chaine video right now! sorry it took so long
Thank you!!!
My teacher aways told us to pretend our legs are a needles, and if the knee bend, the needle breaks. But she teach the pique starting à la séconde...

@@SaltySugarPlum i'll try it facing the corner next time. I think it's gonna be easier.
Pourrait il y avoir la traduction francaise sous la vidéo ?? Merci beaucoup

Just because you're tall, doesn't mean that you have extra limbs @10:13🐙
Octopus tall.
my limbs are longer and take more time collect than a short person with short limbs
