this scene is hilarious because in the light novel, the old man thought those skeletons with magical weapons are the strongest monster the maids had. and the maids decided to use their "strongest" monsters as trump cards against his team because he thought that the maids were too weak to fight his team. meanwhile, the battle maids also wondered why these humans were so confident. they had no idea why humans cant tell the difference in power level. it was like a culture shock on both sides. even if the humans decided to escape, there were thousands of identical skeleton monsters surrounding the area.

The name of this team was Green Leaf. Named after the leader (The old man) aka Green Leaf Palpatra. In the LN, it is said that Palpatra is the only one on his team that was able to stand against the Old Guarders evenly. He likely could have defeated one by himself too. His teammates however, just plain sucked but worse yet, they were outnumbered by the Old Guarders. RIP Old man.... he was cool.
His teammates didn’t suck, they’re just not near hero level. They’re considered to be as strong as mythril ranked adventurers which is a small minority of people in the NW. Greenleaf himself is an old seasoned former adventurer so of course he’s stronger than most of his team. Secondly the Old Guards of Nazarick are tireless undead and are draped in higher level gear than The Green Leaf team. Don’t add in your personal feelings or views with the facts of the story unless you specifically mentioned so because it’s disingenuous to people who look to learn

their plan was to wait for all the other group get wiped out, and they come to get all the treasure and they get outsmart and the old man thought they ran into the stronger, and they was win for a good moment till they start dying one by one
I love overlord series so much, I hope in the end Ainz conquers the world, defeats others from earth there, discovers a way to travel between universes, and in the last moment instead of going to Earth goes somewhere else to conquer other realities

Both a win or an escape was completely impossible at this point. In short, there was a massive army of these skeletons and other creatures waiting just around the corner in order to either reinforce if the original skeletons should lose or to catch and kill anyone who manages to get away from them. Not to mention that each of the maids present could have killed all of the intruders combined without much trouble.

As an overlord fan I can explain it to you. To all those intruders their were 2 or 3 stages of torture. 1) To get tortured by neuronist and spill out all information about themselves and other mission of the team. 2) They will be taken to "Happy farm" of demiurge if they are useful for creation of high level magic scroll. 3) they will be taken to gashokukochuuou nest for breeding if they pass all test for breeding experiment. If they succeed in all these 3 stages they will be tortured eternally. And if they not most of their body parts will be taken and nothing will be wasted for reference see the end of s3 where Entoma is talking to Ainz with her new voice. I hope this helps😊

@@LinkedIn12Smithlooks ordinary enough for me, especially compared to higher lvl summons like death knights that are still mid lvl, or this army that was send to show power to lizard Men.
@@jakub1140296They are POP monsters Nazarick Old Guarders, and are level 18. They are at least as strong as a Mythril ranked adventurer.
They all wear magical items.

@@metalxwarrior Yeah sadly, i'm a huge OPM fan. I love its fights and godly artwork, but yeah plot is mid at best.
Yeah, but at least they didn't also f*cked up the story like in Arifureta. The CGI is annoying but the story is still good.

I have watched every season of Overlord, but I just can't root for Ainz. It was pure cruelty what he did to these adventurers.

Well, in his defense, while undercover, he did try to give a certain group the idea that entering his tomb could go wrong, but they weren't dissuaded.

they were unfortunate yes, but im pretty sure everyone invited was given several warning signs... them being killed here wasnt a "you missed your chance to leave, now die" it was more "you raided us and we're not going to let you leave"

@@わわわ-k7e うーん時系列ズレてたら悪いが、最初の頃は人助けとか他の冒険者？達と協力して任務とか遂行して行ったのが段々とデミウルゴスとかを悪役にして自分が倒してわーいみたいな自作自演や勝って当たり前のような勝負をして弱いものいじめみたいなことしたり終いにはなぶり殺しにしたり捕らえたやつらを拷問したりと本当に何がしたいのか分からない
ストーリーの面白みもそうだけど感動とかも大してない、強いて言うなら作画が綺麗なのと声優が上手くてキャラなどの細かな設定がこってていいが総合的には微妙だよね
最近の作品で言うと進撃、ビンランドサガ、チェーンソーマンとか好きだな

@@frankwest510こういうラノベ発のアニメって内容をある程度省いてるから何をしてるのか何を伝えたいのかイマイチ良く分からない物が多いのよね…
んでオバロは物語の内容よりキャラや装備品の設定やアニメの描写を見てニヤニヤする作品だと個人的には思っているから純粋に話の内容が面白い物を見たいっていう人には俺は勧められない作品だと思っている。というかなろう系自体そういう作品が多いし俺も嫌気が差してきた。
あなたが挙げてくれた３つの作品のような漫画発のアニメは内容がスッキリしてる、何を伝えたいのかが分かりやすい、単純に面白い、キャラに感情移入しやすい作品が多いからそっちを中心に見ることをオススメするし俺もそうしている。
チェンソーと進撃は途中までなら見たことあるけどヴィンランドサガは見れてないや。面白いなら時間あったら見てみようかな。
