As it was a gold medal race, Laura was not trying to run fast! She was running to win! Running inconspicuously in last place yet marking and tracking the lead runners strategically plotting her next move! Well done! Thanks for covering!
Laura Muir is in her 30’s, is an Olympic Medalist, World Championship Medalist, and holds many track records. Not just some “Scottish Girl”.
unfortunately, that's the nature of click bait titles. I've seen worse and I think this video was pretty good otherwise.
The dividing line is simple - in high school - it's "Boys" and "Girls" sports. Once they're in college, it switches to "Men's" and "Women's".

Admittedly in her prime she was great but as an athlete you have to know when its time to retire.
Laura ran a perfect race. She conserved her energy at the beginning and the middle of the race while steadily moving up in position. She was at her strongest at the bell lap while her competitors were at their weakest. With a little more than one lap to go she took the lead and glided away from her competitors. It doesn't get any better that that as far as racing tactics and she made it look easy. Laura is a class act because she sat down next to her competitor and provided comfort and support to a fellow racer who probably though she had a chance to win the race. Thanks for covering this race!

2) The 2nd place runner is named Claudia Bobocea.
3) The 2nd place runner is Romanian, not Belgian.

The title seems to imply that she was a young Scottish schoolgirl, but that is not the case. Laura Muir has been around for years.

Why add a review on a race that was 18 months ago? Also the Belgian was Claudia Bobocea who is Romanian. Get your facts right.

European championship march 2023, Istanbul. Laura, Laura, Laura - no! Nobody doubted that Laura Muir will win this race. She belonged to the very best three runners of the world these days. I remember this race. The surprising thing here was that Claudia Bobocea from Romania came out second after a big fight with polish Sofia Ennaoui, her biggest success and tears of joy. Seen her many times always going aggressivly into the first laps but then falling back. Not this time. Congratulations Claudia also under this video!

Why do you not say her correct name? She is Laura the flying Scotswoman! Scotland has produced some great athletes! We are totally different from the Africans we buy a bag for life they often carry goods on their heads so are a tough breed! Any white person beating a African runner is a huge achievement! If Laura is Scottish, why hasn't she got her country's flag beside her name during the pre-race run-down, instead of the Union Jack?
Scotland is not an independent nation. It's part of the United Kingdom (UK) along with England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The Union Jack represents the UK, not England.
There are also the Commonwealth Games. There she appeared as Scottish, got in gold 2022.

She would have used an excess of energy running from last to 3rd in a fast paced 1500m. And potentially gone into the red to do it. Obviously she is so good she can get away with it. But very few people can! Still didn't make the run easy for herself though.
Laura 31 years old and for a Athlete that is quit an accomplishment to Still be running at her age. Also she is still a Great runner. To me she is still a Little girl{I'm 80}, I have shirts Older than her.😅🤔..

Laura Muir only looks beatable when she faces the best African distance runners. She looks like she's simply in better shape than the other European runners. That's been true for several years.
