Coach Smith has it figured out. I have used the Air Raid in 8-man for almost 10 years, and a lot of 8-man teams will not have the personnel to adequately cover all 4 receivers. Additionally it's less time-consuming to implement than your typical run-heavy offenses. We use similar concepts with similar results (different league- Coach Smith is in the AIA and we're in the Canyon Athletic Association.) Keep the 8-man videos coming!

@@russellbell6484 Remember in Montana you're on a smaller field (80 long and 40 wide) so width significantly changes things.

@@Redandranger 40 yards wide is 120ft, which is what the width is in all 8 man leagues. They said the field was 100 yards long unlike montana, but it is still 40 yards wide like in montana

I run 8 man. But we see alot more Defenses then this.

Yep - we used to run a lot more defenses than were shown here too. In that QB run for 99 yds, IF we were going to blitz the empty, we would have run a twist with the nose and the Mike. The defending champs in the video didn't secure both A gaps and away you go.
