I don't have the DPE package (because I'm poor) so I improvised:
1) Beatrice + Dragonlark Pairen = Scythe Lock (potentially for more than 1 turn) Setup: 4 LV 6 monsters. If you open an extender you can also add I:P for a 3 negate Apollousa follow up.
2) Halqifibrax + Dagda = Scythe Lock
Setup: 4 monsters including 1 tuner.
This is just the Wonder Magician combo but you can tag out Wonder Magician and the Scythe during the opponents turn for Baronne De Fleur. If you open an extender you can add I:P for a 3 or 4 negate Apollousa depending on if you go for Barrone De Fleur or leave the Wonder Magician and the Scythe on board.
3) I like the Magikey engine since it searches a counter trap and allows for more main deck machines for ritual materials.

Thanks for the video logan, you have really helped me update my drytron deck for the current format. I have some advice for all the drytron players out there ;
1. You can make big chungus bigger in terms of atk and def under skill drain. It depends on the hand and set up but after summoning big chungus and having him stay on the field for a turn, on your next turn summon idaten and start tributing him. For every tribute you get 1000 atk and def boost so if you have 2 drytrons he can grow by 1k atk and def every turn under skill drain and its permanent ( even more if you play double ritual spell )
2. accesscode talker outs skill drain so just play one in your extra deck. So basically, spam the field with monsters, make him then banish him for the pop. It takes a lot of resources but its worth it
Hi, love your content, I am a bit more interested on how you navigate the scythe lock escenario: your oponnent has gryphon at least and lets say not 2 but at least 1 fog blade and has already resolved the scythe lock with enforcer on grave, what do you do? is there like a gameplan game 1 just as with the skill drain or just enter scoop phase?.I am having an OTS this weekend and I really want to play drytron but I havent played against scythe lock bases strategies
It really takes either seeing the out (droplets) or enough drytron names to climb into a big Meteonis Draconids play. Also forcing fog blades with divineer and megaliths is a must. Its tough, but it can be done.
Really enjoy the videos man, very unpretentious which is what I look for. I'm new to the deck and yugioh and general and was wondering if there's any other ritual monsters drytron can work with? I always thought the herald of ultimateness, dragoon, vanitys ruler build looked really cool but I feel like I missed the boat with that one. I'm not trying to build anything super competitive but I still want it to be strong and consistent and I'm fine with some sort of rogue variant. Idk if you got any ideas it'd be very much appreciated. I've seen blue eyes chaos max as an option but still on the fence about that. Like I said, I'm not trying to top locals, just play casually with a really strong deck. Always loved ritual monsters so really want to make it work. Thanks!
Hi Adam , thanks for your question! I’d definitely echo the use of Chaos Max as a fun casual take, but a bigger megalith package, nekroz , or pure Drytron are also fun casual options , I hope that helps narrow your search!
Hey Adam, so after reading your comment I kind of get what you are looking for so I have a few ideas and suggestions. So, just wanted to say this and get it out of the way but sadly Konami hasn't supported rituals as a mechanic as much over the years unlike the others eg fusion, xyz, link and synchro. We have under half the card pool yet it was one of the earliest to be introduced. Anyway sorry for rambling, it just means you don't have that many options. But I have a few suggestions for you to look at. Think of these rituals as techs or tools and some of these are really fun
1. A few of the nekroz cards, trishula, unicore and even one of the newer ones areadbhair these 3 are the best in my opinion
2. The megalith package is good but honestly you only really need bethor the others are optional
3. Lord of red ( highly recommended )
4. Sauravis the ancient and ascended
5. Knight of armour dragon
6. Shinobaron peacock and
shinobaroness
7. Demise King of armageddon
8. Odd- eyes gravity dragon
9. Water leviathan @ignister
And that's pretty much it. These are the only rituals I would recommend because the others are either trash or you can't summon them because of their conditions or ATK ( you can't ritual summon something with 0 ATK ) I hope this helps

@@sethuchiha22 yea I've been using the megaliths and they're pretty nice. I thought about shinobaron but the spirit monster thing is a turn off. I've been testing out sauravis in the side just as searchable hand trap and it's pretty nice on the field too.
appreciate you taking the time to write that list. I'll check out lord of red because anytime I can actually use an old school monster (pre-Synchro) I'll do it even if there might be better options (which is why I run dragoon instead of dpe. plus I already had dragoon and this game is hella expensive if you wanna keep up with the meta)

This list is similar to mine, but we are playing dweller over Beatrice. And 2 diviner and manju instead of 3 diviner. Might not be the best but I like the option to end on two type of lingering eff
I agree, dweller is a must in this format. I’m playing only one Diviner and it does work. I don’t like Mystic at all, so why not 2 cosmic in main?
Also I don’t think 2 Phull are needed, as it is too many rituals. Using Jack in the hand instead of the third gamma and Phull is a better option, as you get your deck much faster smaller with higher possibilities to draw the right cards

I don't have dpe of baronne so I actually run a tzolkien crystal wing package, using the tzolkien and a materialless mu beta to hard summon n'tss and end board Phul and IP. This gives two options to remove the n'tss on the opponents turn to pop the scythe which I usually search off benten. Maybe not as effective against a lot of cards like dark ruler and lightning storm, but it's more of less the budget alternative I've come up with.

Personally I think max 1 Gamma 2 delta, like you said you don't ever want to draw in double gamma, I don't even see why people play it at 3 as it is. Yes It's an amazing card that gives you two bodies on the board. Yet you draw multiple and you'll brick. Especially with nova and cyber emergency at 3x each there's no reason to have gamma at 3. Secondly I don't feel it's a bad idea to have 2x Meteonis Drytron. Especially if you're going second and they happen to have a set Cosmic Cyclone to banish your Meteonis, nothing like a quick scoop cause you only play 1.

Loved Drytron a lot and I still have it tho I ask you this question should you care. What can I replace the destiny hero combo (as well Dragoons) with a cheaper alternative? Or replace it all with handtraps?
There is a rank 6 thank cam scythe lock the opponent (can’t remember the name off the top of my head) if you send scythe with Beatrice. Combo line changes drastically tho. DPE is best and easiest way to accomplish this goal
@@LoganJYA that Ignister card? Can be hard to summon him seeing he requires different attribute to summon. Meaning I have to use least about 3 link 2 monster with different attribute.

I have a good extra deck but have just recently tried drytron switching from phantom knights which really have nothing in common. I do have a nova and 2 meteonis and 2 of each ritual and the main monsters with 2 fafnir. Afraid not bro, you need Baronne to be nib proof and dodge droplets with this line. There is another combo line that summons crystal wing and puts Ntss under dweller (search up "Paul Pelican")

Trading it for DPE tbh hahaha. In all seriousness, I’d pursue a completely different strategy if you’re going for goon instead (most likely dropping scythe for something else). Unfortunately, this is not optimal at the moment.
