Yeah you're right man, multiple guitar tracks on this 3rd verse in the studio. But on the live version from Load era (MTV show or something) he seems to play the "normal" verse, some strumming chords can work too, this kind of song give the freedom in a way (country / rock feeling song)

If we watch closely Live Versions, we can see James play E minor chord (Live in Germany 2015 at 1'01 or simply back in the days at the Billboard awards) He plays E minor chord on the record too, but Kirk, in his part plays an E chord (with major third G#) in theory, it should not sounds good, but ... Rules are made to be broken, they did it.

I don't know man cause mine is not a LTD KH 602, this is an ESP KH 2 from 2008 (i have demo for this one on my channel) If you search on e bay, reverb etc... you can have sometime the real one, for good price ... it depends if the seller need fast money or not.

Nicely done, but the clean intro part of this song is played with a B-bender installed on James Hetfield's guitar on the studio recording.
