Love that opening shot of the boat humming across the river. Those rainbows were gorgeous with some nice size to them too! You weren’t kidding about the water current. Looked like it was moving pretty good there. Awesome trip, Randy.
Will I notice a significant difference when switching from a Dobyns Trout and Panfish rod with a Shimano Ultegra reel and 6 lb Daiwa J-Braid Grand 8X to a Shimano Soare XR rod with a Shimano Vanquish reel and Varivas Infinity 3, given that both rods have solid tips?
My line kept breaking every other trout with Varivas. It's was a headache. I switched to Phenix ironfeather. Casts farther than Varivas at triple the strength... I've used 2lb test with Varivas and with Phenix switched over to 6lb test!! The casting difference is miniscule! It's just an unbelievably thin line making it very sensitive for hit detection also. Comes in high visibility so you can still see track your line. Varivas 7/10. Phenix 11/10
VERY Picturesque! I gota come over there one day too
Anytime you want to come we can take you out.
Glad you could get your boat repared quickly. I've just started using the AVani Finesse line and have had no trouble with it. It's worth the price!

Beautiful place seemed like pretty heavy boat traffic that day
Glad to see you back on the water.
Thanks for the video!

Superb
Do you use a leader with that line?

Yes....you should notice a difference. It will be a much lighter all around setup. And the Soare XR rod is a superior rod to the Dobyns.
