A lot of people leave the games a little bit earlier not because they are mad at there team, or because they are cowards like the girl said, in big games like that there is a lot of violence, so a lot of people, to avoid it, leave earlier

Guys long story short about the ultras supporters: There are some problems at the moment between the Sporting's president and 2 of the ultras sides (JuveLeo that were in the middle of the stand and Diretivo Ultras that were on their right side). As this was a big game, they kept quiet during the first half as a form of protest. That way, the rest of the Sporting associates can get a bit of what it will be the stadium wthouth the ultras supporting during the 90min. This conflicts are the reason why you didn't see any flags on the ultras stands too, because they are forbidden to get them (and any other material/clothes with the names of the both ultras groups) inside the stadium. This problems between the club and the ultras don't seem that they will have a closure soon, so it might be worse on the next weeks/months. And no, the management are not being harsh on the players. In matter of facts, they should be as the club is already out of title race and the Taça de Portugal, but it seems that everything is ok for the management. PS: before the comments i'm a Sporting associate and i pay my quotas every month. But i'm not happy with the current state of my club.
ultras are against the management because of they removed the support, after the academy episode two years ago. sporting is in a really delicate position at the moment, not so much about the results but because of the war between the last managements and the fans. having this said, you should give a look to the guimaraes fans, even when they got relegated, the stands were full, and the support was there. It means a lot to the team having that kind of fans
