I'm in Sedona and we got snowed in today for Easter Mass, I am so grateful for being able to celebrate Mass on here. As I watched this I was gazing upon the beauty of God's creation. God is so awesome! Thank you Jesus and Blessed Easter to everyone 🙏

Father Mike, you were the answer to my prayer today! I’ve never missed Easter Mass that I remember! I was admitted to the hospital yesterday and grieved not to be able to go to Easter Sunday Mass! I was dismissed mid afternoon today (so very lucky) and remembered that of course there was a beautiful place I could attend Mass. And I just did!! It was beautiful…the Mass, the homily, the music, everything ❤!! Thank you for bringing it to us…May God bless you always…and yes I’m praying for you everyday as I do Bible in a Year!

I was able to attend Mass today for the 1st time in 4 weeks due to a surgery I had. I started watching your Masses at that time. Susan, it is never about the place. The place is in your heart. Carry your faith to wherever you are able to worship. Church is not a building. It's wonderful if you have found a community but I have been a catholic for 72 years and don't have a community. It doesn't affect my faith and love of God.

When the Covid problem started, I listened to different masses.
When I heard you I was impressed,and have been listening to you every week.
I got married at Newman Hall , which was the name of the Catholic church in Berkeley, California.
I don't drive anymore, I turned 90 on Palm Sunday this year.

The Lord is with you through it all. I know that He was always there for me during the clinical anxiety and depression. The Lord healed and delivered me from my mental health condition. He helped me with a valuable tool. I would keep a journal, and I was able to mark my progress.
Don't give up hope. I was told that the crown of thorns that Jesus suffered thru was for those who suffer especially from mental disease. Blessings.

When I listened to your homily, Father Mike, I thought of two things:
1) purses, jewelry, belts, etc. are accessories. Jesus is my Savior and Forgiver of my many flaws.
2) I had a boyfriend who I loved and we got engaged. But so far, we're not married. And that's OK. If God wants me to be married, it will be as clear as it was when I married my first husband.
Also, I am going to try to follow your challenge to get to week day Mass, because I am usually working on weekends so I participate regularly online. I'm grateful that there's Mass at all, and being present with Jesus whether Spiritually or physically is irrelevant to me. Reception of the Eucharist is essential, absolutely. God bless you and the whole front pew crew. Beautiful singing this whole weekend. Thank you for Mass here at Ascension Presents.
**(There is an Apostolate for those who can't get to Mass on Sundays. It's the Apostolate of Suffering. Those who are a part of this Apostolate are asked to pray for their loved ones, and to offer their Suffering to Jesus for their sake as well as their own and to pray the divine mercy chaplet.)

"What we love we spend our time on. But what we spend our time on, may have loved you" in terms of taking the holy eucharist! Ok, very wise father! I personally find mass boring father, as a child I used to drift and day dream during mass. Now, when I do go to church I like to go when no one is there so I can speak to Jesus one on one..I pray at home. I did make 2 mini tortillas and had a small serving of wine last week with my boyfriend as the blood and body of christ! I don't need the holy eucharist. I pray at home daily yes!

I am starting a new job tomorrow and I had decided that it meant that I could no longer go to Mass on M,R,F because those Masses are at 6:30am and that time is very early and inconvenient. I was treating Jesus in the Eucharist as an accessory, not a necessity. I am happy that God convicted me through your words!!

I'm with you Father Mike, I'm so relieved when activities, events, plans get cancelled. The mental to do list is tiring. Just need and want time to rest, meditate, and be quiet. Life is so full of things to do, or like you said maybe my heart is small. I admit, during Covid it was a relief not to have to go to mass. But now I can't see any other way to start or spend Sundays and Weekdays! Unfortunately, Saturdays are hard I do like to sleep in. But 1st Saturdays are a must when I can. I need Jesus everyday in the Eucharist.

We must make Christ a necessity and not an accessory. The stories of Fr. Walter and analysis shows us that people have risked their lives to be able to receive the Eucharist, worshiping God, and following Jesus. When we feel relieved after an opportunity to miss worship or the mass, as in the case of COVID, we must not feel happy or joy but dread and try to make up for the lost opportunity by visiting the mass during the weekdays. Watching the mass online is also a great thing in case we have a physical ailment or other restrictions. Fr. Mike also provides us a way to analyze Christianity in front of non-believers, even though we should never argue but share our experiences with others. God is strong enough and doesn't need anyone to defend Him, and thus, the analysis is to make our faith strong and help us understand the logic behind Christianity and Catholicism (The universal nature of Jesus Christ's teachings and God's New Covenant).
