Yeah it isn't the cheapest app around but it's good value for money considering all of the awesome time-saving features. But I hear you, definitely easier to justify the price point when editing is how you make a living. 👍🏼
Just . . . Wow. Thanks for sharing this. We do wildlife and nature films and videos. Use a lot of animal sounds and natural sounds (ie, water, wind). Not sure ADD is built for that kind of stuff, but going to check it out.
Thank you very much! If you add any sort of transitions sounds or sound design over and above the ambiences it might definitely be something worth looking into. There are loads of ambience sounds built into ADD as well and you can add you own custom sounds too. In your case, what I think would work well is to add common ambience sounds to different triggers and using triggers to add ambiences in your scenes. For example, 1 is water sounds effects, 2 is wind, 3 is rain, etc. You can then easily add sounds without dragging and dropping sounds. Must be fun to work on wildlife and nature films! 😄

This looks absolutely brilliant but having searched UA-cam and google, I can only find examples with fight scenes, car chases, horror or gaming type videos and there's no doubt this app is invaluable for that and they've set this as their target market but I'd love to see examples of travel or event style video's to see what can be achieved using it
Yeah absolutely! ADD crushes sound design in those genres. I’ve used it on other types of videos for footsteps and whooshes/swishes and it definitely does speed up workflow. For travel videos, I imagine a lot of the sounds you would want to add would be ambience sounds (and probably highlighting certain moments or action) and it does a great job with that too. Maybe another video geared towards that style of video in the future would be a good idea 😄
@@Brad_West oooh YES please! I’ve downloaded the trial, which includes the demo pack which is fairly limited but not entirely sure what the paid version includes. Do you have to pay on top, for each additional pack or does it include a bit more than the free trial version?

First, this is amazing. I've been going down a rabbit hole of your tutorials lately and they're just fantastic. I'm not a video editor. I do use Screenflow for screen recording tutorials for work though. Seems I'm always having to upgrade Screenflow, I may just give FCP a try instead. It has a very Logic feel to it that I'm already familiar with. Thanks for being so prolific with your content. Two unrelated to this questions: What's the outro music on this episode? I think I've heard it many other places so it's probably a royalty free or similar. And second, is there a way I could answer that question myself? You’ll need to download the installer and follow the installation instructions. If you’re having issues at all, the ADD support team will help you really quickly 😄👍🏼
Hmmm 🤔 I honestly don’t think there is anything like Audio Design Desk out there in terms of its unique way of handling sound design. There are other audio apps out there that are great for mixing, like ProTools or Adobe audition.
Bruh, by any chance do you know why when I use a trigger lets say 1, and I press Command R, it doesnt change between the sounds i have in the trigger, instead, it just put a ramdom sound effect
I think the replace function is going to replace the sound based on your search criteria and filters, not on what is loaded by the trigger. You could probably load the individual sounds linked to that trigger in that search window, then when you replace it should randomly replace the sound with one of those other sounds linked to the trigger.
Yeah it's not the cheapest piece of software but it's good value for money considering all it can do and all the time it can save an editor. Having said that, it's not for everyone 😄👍🏼
