douglas holt I think I might have diabetes but I don’t know I an hour after I ate a really big meal and candy after I tested my blood sugar because my friend was over and she was diabetic and my sugar was 77 is that bad? It’s kinda low let me know!?

    • @clazredwolf3366

fAllsss type 1 is caused by having high blood glucose not low, the reason is that you had only finished eating and probably hadn’t of ate in a while so you took it too early, you should only check your bloods 2-4 hours after your meal. And don’t be using someones blood kit unless it’s a blood relative, the reason is this is simply because your friend has a different blood line, it’s a used blood pricker and is used only by one person because if you use a already used pricker you can get a blood disease. Be careful out there

Also, just so you know type 1 is autoimmune not by eating, if you eat too much sugar that’s when type 2 is revvelant

my grandpa have type 2 and it is hereditary. The good thing is that he is the only one in the family who have it. But i am afraid that could get it soon because all i do is sitting in my bed all day long. But i don't want to sit in bed all day long. but i can't get up because i don't have energy. i'm going to check my blood and vitamins in a few weeks. I'm overweight to. But i dindn't care because it's not unhealthy overweight. But after i found out my grandpa were diagnosed, i'm just so scared that i might could get it soon.

Type 2 diabetes isn't exactly hereditary. It increases your chances of getting type 2 but, if you maintain a fairly simple and healthy diet, and stay at a heathy body weight, you will most likely not devolve type 2 diabetes.

I'm type 2 diabetic and I am on rapid acting and long acting insulin 260 units between the two usally type 2 doesn't need insulin, our pancreas still works however eventually it can't make enough insulin then you might have to go on insulin, I am type 2 insulin dependent. Hope this helps.

Adding to this thread. Diabetes management is very individualized. Some People with type 2 diabetes are able to manage their blood sugar with healthy lifestyle behaviors like healthy eating, being active, and getting adequate sleep. Some may manage their blood sugar with lifestyle and medications
( oral or injectables).Bottom line with medications is which ever meds or combo of meds help to get blood sugar levels close to or at Target range. Insulin may be the best way to get blood sugar in Target so in that case, the answer to your question is that some people w type 2 diabetes may take insulin. Hope this is helpful.

DaUA-cam KinG I’m close with someone who has it
It’s really hard at the start having to learn I need to take X units if my Blood glucose is 9.8mmol (Uk doesn’t use the other type of measurement) and then compensating for food your about to eat as well and then also if your sick do excercise your insulin gets too warm and you have to get more you run out of needle tops you can’t find your long acting insulin
But after a while like moving countries you sort of get used to it but seriously if the hospital say “if your ketones are over let’s say 0.6 please contact us” if they are over do not just say drink water and wait contact them

CJM 1996 its not hard just very annoying to keep on top of, also if you are having a low blood sugar its very hard to function properly and complete normal tasks so you just have to sit there to wait for you blood sugar togo up which can be a pain if you were doing something important, and then theres also the fact that your immune system is much weaker which is annoying as you get alot more colds and minor illnesses.
