Some of those horses seriously need a martingale and some draw reins. The way they all hold their heads like giraffes is a no for all 3 rings. Why isn't their supposed "hunter jumper trainer" fixing this in all of his horses?
Yay! This is a nicely put together TB, a free moving horse who obviously enjoys her work 😃 And has settled in quickly in a different barn. Gabby appears to be enjoying the ride😃 I have a hunch she knows this is a trial ride😂 Would Gabby be allowed to take her for a trail ride - perhaps accompanied by the current owner? Or even to ride in big outdoor arena? Hope Sophie enjoyed her ride as well😃
She is absolutely gorgeous. I happen to love grays, but color aside, she is lovely. I don't know if I would call her movement "dainty", but I do think her movement is fluid, graceful & well balanced. I can't wait to see what Gabby thinks.
@@DayByDayVlogs Small bones are generally part of the package with Thoroughbreds. As long as she has healthy, uninjured legs & as long as you consistently protect & support her legs during transport & when she is working she should be good. You might have your farrier as well as your vet check her out if Gabby decides she wants her.
I would def see if you could try her in a outdoor arena or a different setting just to see how well she does cause you want to make sure she isn't just good in that particular setting

Paris is lovely, and the kind of horse I always envisioned gabby to ride- she is so classic looking and also her canter is fantastic for what gabby wants to do. She touches the ground so nice. And that jump!! She has wonderful form and a great eye. She will take gabby in and out of jump lines like nobodies business, and look fabulous doing it too! If you want the job done right, get a mare! Gabby is a serious, determined and focused rider, and a mare would be well suited to her. Also I just wanted to say that Sophie is TALL!! She makes Denver look like a normal sized horse, I can’t believe it! Whatever horse she gets needs a big barrel for her long legs!
This looks like it could be such a great long term partnership. Thoroughbreds are truly wonderful horses - the best work ethics in my opinion, all try. I own one and he is by far the best horse I’ve ever owned.
This may not be what gabby wants but it’s what she needs. For being that young- she was a BEAUTIFUL mover, and did not look green. She has a perfect amount of go- especially if gabby wants to compete higher, she will need a bit more horse. Ahh she’s so cute 💗💗💗
Gosh I love that mare! I love TBs in general. I never thought I’d own one, but I bought one a few years ago. He’s the best and everything I’ve needed. ❤ They’re a great breed. And I LOVE the gray ones ❤🎉

They get a little soft during wet months however, so I keep him on a year round hoof supplement to keep them healthy. Going on about a year of that and he’s got great feet! He only wears front shoes. Farrier recommended keeping them on!
the mare is beautiful and Gabby looked really good on her……..sometimes our most perfect horse is not what we think or wanted but you just know when you know and all of a sudden the list of what you thought you wanted doesn’t even matter anymore!
Gabby has had a lot of heartache with horses. I am so so hoping gabby find her horse 🥰. My first horse (that I got at 16 and had for 20 years) was a grey. Greys have a special aura ♥️❤️
Shes beautiful but You need to ride that mare in the arena alone horses are very different in groups that's why I never school in groups creates lazy nappy horses that are just following the one in front once my horse was established is the arena I then took him on group lessons , once you ridden her a few times on her own away from other horses and trialed many things like schooling , trial rides alone and in company , her groud manners when alone ect then you should decide seems like a very chaotic arena and barn I am imagine she may be completely different away from that when on her own
Im a dont like mares kind of girl but there has been one or two too pull on my heart strings in the past. Paris is stunning and again like harvey i can see her having great potential when she has built up a top line and is fed up abit. Her little knees when she pops over the fence what a cutie and dapple greys are beutiful❤ she would have time to train for next show season too 🎉
Well. Viva la Paris! At eight she's had the training and the experience to do the things Gabby wants to do. She's just in the prime years of her competition life perfect for where Gabby is. She's very responsive and I didn't see any difficult behaviour in that ride. The picture they presented was harmonius. I think I would allow Gabby to keep on believing Paris is just her lesson horse and have a few more lessons on her before you spill the beans. That way she will get a really good feel of her. With mares if you form a very close bond with them they'll give you 100% heart and soul.
Gabby has a very kind/passionate soul that connects with horses that need that one on one companionship. Paris seems like a lovely/foward moving / friendly/kind mare. There will always be one mare(especially if your gelding person) that will capture your heart in a different way. Gabby rides very well and always takes the advice of her instructor which is why she has come so far in her horse journey. I can see these 2 being a great match AND gabby likes a foward moving/trainable horse that she can put her own stamp on. Hopefully the stars align for these two❤️

Has had the training but can still learn more and not too "set in her ways" Great to see Sophie back on Denver too, the western riding and bareback/no stirrups has done wonders for her position and confidence it seems. If she was nervous it didn't show. Even if Gabby decides this isn't the horse for her, it's all good experience riding different horses and they seemed to have fun

@user-gu7yu3fi5t no it bends it’s knees too much. Also horses not moving well in the winter isn’t true. My horses move lovely.

That little mare is really trying to please Gabby. Look at her sweet little thinking face. I love her. The TB is such a great versatile breed.

It may be good for Gabby to have a different color horse and a mayor. It may help with the grieving process.
Maybe.. I feel a sadness come over her when she starts to feel joy with a horse again. It makes me feel like she feels guilty.

This is the nicest mover I’ve seen her ride. Lovely jump. Once the mare builds muscle and top line she will be exceptional in the hunter ring.

I agree. She's good in so many ways. Sophie has definitely matured after her time in western. Just got up and did what she was supposed to!
