The key is pressing the escape instead of saying ok you're done once you set it up to chain print. That tells the label maker you want to keep chain printing. The escape key is how you chain print.
I’ve one of these machines and when I first used it, there was so much waste. I bought four more cartridges. Now I’m so happy these next four cartridges will last much longer! Thank you Queen Nicole! (I also didn’t know I could print two lines per strip…I’ve been cutting them down the center horizontal.)
Quick tip: instead of backspacing all the way back to the beginning you can hold down the shift key and the backspace key and it will clear your text back to the start space. Also, another fun thing, if you do scrapbooking and have the scissors that cut wavy patterns you can line up your label in the arced part of the scissor blade and cut it so the label has rounded ends instead of sharp corners.

If I'm making a lot of labels I just hit space 3 times in between then keep typing. I'll have to try it your way since it will only let you put in so many characters my way.
This is great information I can't find a menu on mine. I have a PT 1750 model and it must be a much older machine. I have had so much waste from my machine.
Thanks Nichol. I was having problems because of the “Margin” setting, even though I had “Chain Print” selected. Do you want to update with setting the proper margin? And I think a commenter pointed out you must hit the “escape” key each time too and that probably needs emphasis. I know you’re busy and may not have time for this, but I think those 2 things would really upgrade this video! I think Brother could make this much more user friendly. Just hope the scan ‘n cut isn’t so difficult.

I'm using Helsinki for the font and Large for the size. (Because I'm printing 2 lines of text it still prints fairly small. If I only print one line of text it's big. 😉) Hope this helps!
I do not think you told them to hit the Escape key after they hit the Print key ‘twice’. I think leaving that step out was a mistake. When it says OK to Feed? you must hit Escape to continue inputting for Chain Printing.

This is part of the issue (long story but my technical ineptness played a part in the issues I am having) and I am going in circles with Patreon Tech Support to resolve the issue but my bank account is showing my support pledge is being deducted…..😫😫
I just type one word then put press space button twice and then type next word and again 2 spaces then third.... it prints like a long sentence and I cut it myself
I have a different Brother label maker and it annoys me so much, the waste is ridiculous and I’m sure it’s so you have to buy refills more often! I found identical refills so. I found cheaper non Brother identical refills in the end because I wasn’t prepared to waste so much.
Hi. Not sure if you'll see this, but my P-touch doesn't bring up MARGIN when I press MENU either. Do you have some keys (a 2nd row) right above the keyboard? Is there one titled LABEL? If so, hit LABEL, then use Arrow Keys to find MARGIN. Hit OK. Then use Arrow Keys to find CHAIN PRINT. Hit OK. I hope this helps!
