I'm currently in the fire academy, I'm SO dreading this, the idea of practicing in a live burn house does not scare me, be ascending a 110 foot ladder? I'm shitting my pants. I don't know how I'm gonna do this, but I'm gonna try my damnedest.
@@nathanmcdonald610 The thing is here in England we have to lock our legs around the ladder let go and lean back. If it was a case of just climbing to a point I think I could just about force myself to (would still be scared to death though) but letting go is something else. I have to do it though!!! Well done by the way, I hope you was able to graduate, or are on the path to.
@@cnsmooth Thanks a lot! I am enjoying the class very much and hoping to graduate in May. We had to do the leg lock off of a 40ft ladder as well, they made us let go and lean back, then we had to simulate breaking out a window with a fire axe, It was a thrill, both in a fun and scary way haha. But I promise you, that you can do it and once you have done it and you get back on solid ground you'll be so proud of yourself! I hope that all goes good for you as well my friend!

How did it go? I have a similar test in a few weeks but it is only 40 foot.
@@cnsmooth I just did it last week! It wasn't as bad as I thought, I just kept looking forward and before I knew it I was at the top.
