Thanks for this great video. The ship is the former Peter Pan from the German TT Line and is the first of 4 sisterships. Nowadays this ship is old, but axcists and travel for DFDS as PRINCESS SEAWAYS between Amsterdam (NL) and Newcaste (UK).
Blasted back to 1998 lol remember this thing coming back from melbourne to tasmania massive swells they was so big the captain was thinking of parking and hold ground or turn around or push on it was just passable i remember being lucky enough to have run into the captain after it all passed and calmed down asked me and and my mother how we found the trip hahaha good memories
It looks like they dumped a building on the deck of the ship. Lol. The newer ones are much better designed. I love old footage. The cars on that ship would now be worth a fortune. Thanks for uploading this great piece of history. I'm off to Tassie next week. 👍🚢🇦🇺
What year was this? I remember going across in 97-98... Just after titanic cane out. My mum was terrified, even as we boarded they were playing my heart will go on 😂😂
I'm sitting on the Spirit of Tasmania right now watching this. The new one of course well 1 of the 2 of them and they are now 20 years old so not new anymore. I'm travelling from Tassie back to Melbourne

April 11 1994 is the date at front. It was just after the Abel Tasman was taken out of service.
