I've been wearing a DOT low profile Skull cap for years. I love the freedom of it. However living in LA and having a new bike (LRS), the land of shit drivers, I felt maybe it was time to get a full face helmet. I feel that after putting this one on I kinda needed one that had a really free viewing area and still have the safety. 7yrs later I'm watching this again, got the same exact black on black. Waiting for delivery. Thank you man!
Adam, with my bullitt I have put a piece of heavier rubber along the top of the shield, it fills in the gap that causes the rattle. Works for me but some have said it'll scratch the helmet however it doesn't bother me. I ride vs keep my bike clean for the garage! Stay safe.
I just bought one and went on my first ride I have to say it is a very loud helmet. I've also had all kinds of full face helmet and every full face helmet I have had I have always had to have earplugs. I love the look of the helmet and it is a lot lighter than my other full face helmet. I am 70/30 on keeping it!!!!
I love my Bell Bullitt, I have the Ryder version and it just looks bad ass! It is super loud and at 60mph+ it’ll whistle and on head checks it’ll rattle. The whistle can be fixed with a little piece of electrical tape overlong the rear exhaust vent, also if you do end up getting rained on you can cover the front vents with some tape and if you buy a little rubber you can creat a seal for the top of the visor because there is a little gap there as well. But the helmet is amazing, you can see everything, the interior is plush and it fits well. I like wearing it for short rides around town and when I take long rides or doing a lot of freeway miles I usually wear my Shoei RF-1200.
Thank you, brother. This means a lot to me -your opinion. I just bought the RSD Mojo version of this helmet. 4 decades of no helmet / 1/2 helmet....have seen too much carnage. Last week my brother in law goes down....he's had brain surgery and is still unconscious. He's got tubes in his throat, head, and stomach. Like me and most of our bros....he had full/proper boots, jeans, jacket, and he wears goggles...but no helmet was found at the scene...he owned a 1/2...not sure if he had it on or not. Sadder thing...not ONE scratch on him...anywhere....except for the brain injury. The gear worked that he had. Guy stopped in front of him turning right. It happens to all of us that ride, I know....I've been down 2x....once at highways speeds....looking back...it seems funny that I had a helmet on both times but still 'didn't get it' until now. God knows how he'll recover. Time for a change for me; get out of my own stupid pride. I love riding free and feeling the breeze on my head...but it's time. I spent 4 days in the ICU waiting room researching, choosing, watching vids....you have ridden more miles than (anyone?) I'll ever ride if I get to ride another 50 years....this makes sense. The #1 thing is to be able to SEE. The widest vision field available anywhere in a full face....your endorsement...I did it. I spent YEARS of built up Amex points to buy it...but I'd rather have the protection than the points for some plane ticket or something. On the plus side...the pearl white of the RSD Mojo Bell Bullitt is a great match for the pearl white of my 2000 Softail. The 16" apes go well with the retro vibe of the helmet too. Be well, Adam. All he say is corect! This helmet is a great change for those who weir open face helmets. I had about five fist quality full face helmets. This one is a revolution. Confort, weigt, i dont even feel it. singht angle is great. Open shield riding, head turn stability, We feel like riding a full face. We have what we pay for. Ok its not a 9 on 10 crash champoin but its way far more safe than an open one. This Bullitt is the best full face i never own. 8 on 10 for me.
Hey Adam i like Bell helmets too but i like the Qualifier DLX lots of vents all close-able and a transition lens for sunny day and night riding anyway each to his or her own but you should check it out just incase you like it
Adam... do you have any issues with the shield on the bell bullet rattling real bad going about 60mph and higher? Mine is brand new and rattled so bad I have had a headache for a week!
Yeah tried the hinge adjustment and it didn't work did 230kms glad I had some music otherwise would have been a sure headache. Can't wait for a bit more wear in cause it really gives me ear issues every second time.
The down thing with this one is...its a kinda retro style helmet with pretty little functionality, but for a price i can get a top notch racing helmet. so if you also own a sportbike or something, the retro cruiser helmets seem just rediculously overpriced.
That's a really cool helmet and I want one but seems for the price I wouldn't think you should have to put lock tite on it or have vents that can't close

I agree I occasionally wear a modular but never have it up while moving on the bike generally just have it up while preparing to ride putting on gloves zipping up jacket etc
I tried this helmet on and loved the way it fit but i wish i could test ride with one. I ride a road king and have problems with the wind pulling my head back while wearing a helmet. Wish the forehead vents closed also.

The bragging point of the thin chin bar isn't a compliment.. it is so weak I can make it compress with my arms This is a cheap helmet don't get it twisted.

Hey Adam. Just bought two of these for me and my wife. Question on leaving helmets behind on the bike while parking. I think you just leave yours but do you know of any decent helmet locks that aren’t bulky and like a pedal bike looking unit?
Have you had any issue with a constant whistle when the face shield is up? If so, were you able to clear it up? I replaced the flat face shield with the bubble to fix it on my Bullitt, but I think I prefer the flat.

I find the Gringo slightly quieter. Try both on before deciding though. They fit me completely different so your head shape will determine which is better for you.

Hey Adam,Have you tried this with the bubble shield? I have been looking at the carbon fiber Mojo version for a few months. I love my open face, but my neck with all the titanium and screws in it doesn't after about 5 hours. I like the added protection and style of this. I hear the bubble shield adds some buffeting in the wind, but it has to be less than what I have now. Any input since you probably have more than a couple of miles with it. Thanks
hey adam i went and got me a bullitt and absolutly love it, theres nothing like it, never going back to half helmet, but i do have one bitch thats killng me and when i go to put it on ,it bends the top of my ears down and its so tight its hard to get my ears back flat and taking my helmet off its like ripping my ears off, thats all i got.

I don't know... it is a 400 to 450 dollar helmet that scored only 3 star at SHARP safety rating. It's front top and back scored good but sides scored just 1 step away from worst score possible. I can find helmets that score 4 or 5 star at SHARP rating at half the price from HJC, Scorpion Exo, ect... not really comfortable buying a helmet because it has cool style.
Everyone needs to buy what works for them. For me #1 is actually wanting to wear it.. the safest hemet in the world does you no good sitting on the shelf.
The Bell Bullit looks amazing, but it's not worth the money in my opinion. It's very loud and does not fair well in the arrow dynamic depart. I would not recommend anyone to spend $400+ on one. Speaking from experience, I got rid of mine asap.
It's a terrible helmet other than asthetics. It's the loudest helmet I've ever owned. It has a screeching whistle, and any speed over 50 and you're going to be suffocated by the insane amount of wind. Would I purchase again, yes. Just for cruising around town. Any, even remotely serious riding keep looking. Its literally the worst helmet I've ever seen at speed. It's the most amazing helmet I've ever owned for bar hopping.
I’ve had it for four months and it’s shit loud hardly any protection great field of view but bell are just saving on carbon windy as fuck freezes your head in the uk through a winter it’s like a gale going through it I would not buy another but it looks super cool far better helmets for a lot less money no point trying to listen to music you’d need to play it at 200 decibels to hear it and that will make you death anyway this is a all looks summer helmet that’s it don’t be fooled just because it’s a bell and that huge visor just means less frontal protection carbon costs money air costs nothing I give it 4 out of ten

Rain? I cut the tape off Band-Aids. I use the tape strips to cover the vents during rain.

3 out 5 stars isn't bad. Hell, most helmets are as good. 4-5 stars are very few.

Torc T1. It's nearly half the price and having worn both, I just don't see the reason to spend almost twice as much for the Bell.

I did, it was an adjustment issue with the hinge.

Honestly if you do care about your ears(which is mighty cool) then you should wear earplugs anyway while riding any motorcycle with any helmet on.

I don't know... it is a 400 to 450 dollar helmet that scored only 3 star at SHARP safety rating. It's front top and back scored good but sides scored just 1 step away from worst score possible. I can find helmets that score 4 or 5 star at SHARP rating at half the price from HJC, Scorpion Exo, ect... not really comfortable buying a helmet because it has cool style.
Everyone needs to buy what works for them. For me #1 is actually wanting to wear it.. the safest hemet in the world does you no good sitting on the shelf.

The Bell Bullit looks amazing, but it's not worth the money in my opinion. It's very loud and does not fair well in the arrow dynamic depart. I would not recommend anyone to spend $400+ on one. Speaking from experience, I got rid of mine asap.

It's a terrible helmet other than asthetics. It's the loudest helmet I've ever owned. It has a screeching whistle, and any speed over 50 and you're going to be suffocated by the insane amount of wind. Would I purchase again, yes. Just for cruising around town. Any, even remotely serious riding keep looking. Its literally the worst helmet I've ever seen at speed. It's the most amazing helmet I've ever owned for bar hopping.

I’ve had it for four months and it’s shit loud hardly any protection great field of view but bell are just saving on carbon windy as fuck freezes your head in the uk through a winter it’s like a gale going through it I would not buy another but it looks super cool far better helmets for a lot less money no point trying to listen to music you’d need to play it at 200 decibels to hear it and that will make you death anyway this is a all looks summer helmet that’s it don’t be fooled just because it’s a bell and that huge visor just means less frontal protection carbon costs money air costs nothing I give it 4 out of ten
