Duke fan here. The SMU fans at the game were awesome. Got to talk to a few of them on the way back to our cars. Just discussing what a wild unbelievable game it was. I thought we played well. We always create a ton of turnovers. Not usually 6 haha. Both teams showed a ton of resiliency. SMU is a super football team. I've never seen a dude that big hurdle a human being to block a field goal unreal. Good luck to you guys the rest of the season. Hopefully we can upset Miami and make me feel better haha
Not sure how you made it to this video but cheers to you! Manny Diaz is a great guy and a solid coach to pick up where Elko left off. Excited to see where Duke goes from here. You guys can knock off Miami next weekend.
@@diegocasillas404 I like to hear the other team's perspective of the game. Heck I even listen to y'all's preview of the game. I was suspect about the additions to the acc. Still am suspect about Stanford and cal. The SMU is actually a pretty good fit
I don't know if I would say SMU owned Duke. SMU narrowly out gained Duke. Duke had one more first down. Duke won time of possession by 5 minutes. It was a closely played game. And SMU deserves a ton of credit
Food for thought on KJ’s interceptions- even before the game I questioned the decision to wear a helmet with blue stripes and a blue Peruna. With Duke being blue and white also, there’s a lot of the same color scheme going on out there. Perhaps the traditional red Peruna might have helped differentiate? Of course, that doesn’t relate to the fumbles at all… just an odd choice to look so much like your opponent’s uniform.
Weird game. Easily could have been a blow out if we don’t fumble near the goal line on the opening drive and don’t get stood up on the 1 yard line. With those two scores, think it would have been 35-7 instead of 21-7 with 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter after the long Roderick Daniels TD. At that point the games over since there’s no way Murphy is leading 4 scoring drives in 20 minutes of game time left and there’s no turnover fiasco with KJ down the stretch. Then we’re all confident heading into the Pitt game after an easy win against a 6-1 team. But that didn’t happened. Will be interesting to see if the last 2 weeks is just normal college football where most teams are inconsistent and those happened to be our 2 bad games or if it’s a trend and we already played our best football during that TCU-FSU-Lville stretch. Would like to think RL can get the team locked in for a big week and clean up the sloppiness. If we don’t beat ourselves, we can beat anyone on our schedule. Not having RJ (and Bailey) definitely seemed to impact the efficiency of the offense and Duke was pouncing all over the underneath throws the last 20 minutes of that game. Hoping Bailey can go this week. Hopefully we are all celebrating a big homecoming win this weekend. Will be a fun game. Pony up!

It was a good stadium. We enjoyed it and jealous of the LED lighting 😊

@@brandotex love to get a few more people in the stadium. Atmosphere was much better than what y'all seen at Stanford at least from what I hear.
@@byronblack5607 that's cool to hear. Duke and SMU are actually really similar. I can see this being a pretty fun football rivalry
I still have my SMU hat from the 1983 Cotton Bowl game. Yes it was COLD

That was the luckiest win I have ever seen. Saturday, under the lights will be fantastic.

I agree on the blue all over the field. I caught myself, just a second, thinking Duke was SMU. Eyes can get tricked.
