i have a 2005 silverado 1500. lifted and leveled. couple aftermarket goodies as well. i run all speedtech lights and im very satisfied with them for the price of the product.
Why the switch between the two brands? I personally like both brands, STL for the cost and Feniex for the quality. Were the STL lights functioning that bad or where you looking for more options?
Just a question, I received a split raptor switch panel, I was looking to use that for something else but the wiring diagram doesn't explain much and the lady from stl didn't really help. The two wires that are coming out of the box is a little confusing. The one has a red and blue.
i should have another video up in a couple of weeks with my upgrade to all feniex lights and siren allso im installing a dash cam so il upload my run responses at least once a month thanks for watching my videos and your welcome to subscribe to my channel
The way that works, is you buy a 200 watt amp, and two 100 watt speakers. Together, the sound is amplified across both. As I understand, that's pretty standard, but I haven't been allowed to look at the equipment on my local emergency vehicles.
If you buy the more expensive speed tech lights they're a lot better. you get what you pay for. I had a linear visor and directional bar and they were brighter and cheaper than my buddies whalens
Hey Menno, I know this is an old video but are both these vehicles in your name? just FYI Ohio state law is changing soon that OSP has to do all FF POV inspections and they will require (as of next year) all the vehicles to be in your name in order to pass inspection.
I'm not a first responder but I do have lights on my work van. I also made made the switch from STL to Feniex, best decision ever! What do you plan on getting from Feniex? You should look into the 4200 controller for sure! It is an amazing controller.
@@jarredjones8476 ive ran stl lights since 08 and have never had a problem with any of the lights or customer service, i just ordered lights for my wife an they were shut down over the thanksgiving holiday but i still emailed them cause i had a couple of questions and i got an answer over the weekend even though they was closed, i wont go with any other brand cause i have an the lights failed or wasnt bright enough, but w stl ill stay with them
Totally agree with you about the siren, it sounds terrible... I will settle for less for a little while with lights but siren is always Whelen for me.

Exactly I agree with you 💯 this is my second set from them and never had any issues. They do me justice and keep me safe as a volunteer firefighter.

Looks good but linear lights definitely are better

You got enough stick on chrome on those vehicles?
Do u have any of the lights still for sale
The siren may be 200 watts but they only sell 100/150 watt siren speakers

Highly doubt brighter. Maybe close in comparison but not brighter.
how do you power these is it through a cig lighter or through the fuze box... i mean if you want a grand control box how is it powered?
@@taborschabot4853 u can get either cig plug or hard wire for either the light or the grand control box
pretty cool home made console brother!
Are you selling?? I'm a volunteer firefighter and looking for some lights without going straight to the company their self
If so can you email me at SeanFleming21@yahoo.com

what makes speed tech lights worse than feniex. Same technology, linear. Speed tech is 3-watt.
dnovids customer service at stl sucks and their products fail...
