Great video both for content and presentation!
the last feature and port display for the asus is wrong. u can see it a gigabyte model in the image. asus prime z690-p only have 6 usb in the back
Subscribed brother, keep up the good work.
The right video. Good knowledgeable video.
hi all just ordered from skytech they used this board for my i7 13700F config with 4070ti should i be worried? needs insights tia!
Do you know if possible undevolting non-K processors on Asus Prime z690m-plus d4?. I'm especially interested in using it with a 12400. I've read that some boards even allow you to tweak the offset voltage in the bios but it has no real effect.
Do you know of any other model of 12th gen intel cpu micro-atx motherboard that allows it?
Thanks! Cheers!
Last time I’ve checked all the boards were expensive af. So might as well just get K. I’m gonna look into it
what’s the cooler and case on this?
Hey i am in between Asus Prime Z690-P or MSI pro Z690-A Wifi. Asus a bit expensive but not that much and lacking wifi. Everybody says Asus better (vrm, overclocking) i have 3200mhz 2x8 ram and i5-12600K (not planning oc but if i have to i could use it when I get something like 4070) which one should I choose
Awesome review mate👍👍 Does anybody know why huge x16 sockets linked only with x1 wiring ? 😳 x8 would be reasonable, x4 too, but x1 ? What's the point ?
I’m pretty sure most of the extension cards expect for SSD ones don’t require x4 x8 speeds. But yeah it’s weird
There's a high frequency hiss that seems to come from your microphone. Makes it s bit hard to listen. Good video, but I would check that out
Great video and break down. I’ve been trying to make my mind up on if I should buy the ASUS Z690-P Motherboard. This video has helped me to commit to it. I’m putting a i5 12600k on it paired with Evga 3060ti for my first PC build.
I hit the sub button 👍
Planning on doing the same, except with a 3070. Curios if you still think the mobo was a good purchase 4 months later?
@@kamaudennis3 Yeah everything is working great for me. I got the mobo off EBay for $150 as an open box item never used.
From what I researched the cpu is good up to a 3080ti before it starts to bottle neck. But with this mobo it’s easy to upgrade because it’s a 12th and 13th gen cpu socket.
It looks good in a white case also because of the silver and black
@@umeremad2123 That’s a great combo. What drew me to this motherboard is that it’s budget friendly and future proofs for upgrades in the future.
On the Asus website it supports ddr4 memory speeds up to 5333 and both 12th and 13th gen cpu. And from the tests I’ve seen online there’s not much of a difference between DDR4 and DDR5.
Great review man thank you i bought the asus
Can fit i7(12700)?
Great video! But you actually used a picture of a gigabyte mobo instead of asus in the port selection part.😅
i switched to MSI PRO Z690-A from ASUS PRIME Z690-P and shocked with that image+port count of him. Asus should be loser here in usb ports comparison. it only has 4 usb ports behind mobo. unlike others which has 6 ports. thanks for clearing that out.
Gigabyte PCB is brown?
Pls review latest asus zenbook pro 15 oled up6502 there is not a single video on this device on the internet, i think it is the best in it category
MSI PRO Z690-P DDR4 is a great mobo ? And can I put a i5-13600KF on it without any issue ?
On mine one sata port nearly broke off after 3 months of use (not an user error) and it killed my 13600kf. Poor build quality and gives 1.5V to the CPU which resulted in thermal throttling with EK 360mm AIO. Fantastic features on that board but cheap and poor build quality with not great bios layout and overvolting CPU out of the box. I would not recommend it based on my experience.
@@_sneer_ I go with a Z690 Asus TUF or Rog Strix so yeah. Sorry to hear that your mobo and cpu are dead :/ bad business, thank you for your answer tho, take care
Sheeeeet that's a good ole PS2 connector. I still bring one when I go to fix someone else's PC because sometimes a USB mouse or keyboard won't work in UEFI/bios.
Also, that tool-less M.2 installation is fundamentally and fatally flawed. If you have case fans which might vibrate your machine, the tab in place of the m.2 screw will ever so slightly move, eventually causing your drive to pop up, which is not fun. I recently had a drive get corrupted on me that way. I've seen other boards do it MUCH better by having a plastic screw and standoff that are attached to each other by a small plastic "Wire" for lack of a better term. I can't really describe it too well, but it's the best way I have seen and shouldn't interfere with any heat-spreaders you may want to use, but if it does, you should be able to use a regular m.2 screw & standoff
PlayStation 2 port or real name IBM Personal System/2 port
Did I miss something? You missed the Asus IO and used the Gigabyte again... 7:35
Ps2 port I think they used that in Ancient Egypt or something
Asus Z690-P good board , overclocks good with my 13900k
wtf does it have the ps2 port for? Even got the green/purple colours originally designed by compaq.
I was wondering about this as well. Supposedly a ps2 keyboard offers lower latency compared to USB. Something a professional gamer might care about, but certainly not me.
I got the asus z690-p WiFi with a 12700k for 350.00 I would have much preferred the MSI
Happy my prebuild pc have the best of this cheap your mother board
Can believe asus had a detachable io shield ... Damn cuts with higher prices 😂 ... And yeah that port bro 😂 PS/2
6:15 - PS/2 port for keyboard and mouse - but who uses that shit anymore? Shocked to actually see it on a modern mobo.
THTA PORT IS FOR AN OLD SCHOOL MOUSE LOL
ps2 port
Thanks for taking your time with this, you've saved me a ton of headache! Keep up the good work.
Bro gave me a headache. What was he thinking when uploading a video with a loud "PEEP" in the background. Gosh it's awful
