Nothing wrong with filming in a public place totally legal. You probably should have filmed that guy more. Videos of people kicking off seem to get a lot of views. Watch some of DJE Media and DJ Audits videos. They are very good at explaining your rights to film in a public place.
Also, it doesn't matter if people are offended by it. Just because they're offended doesn't make them right. If it was me personally, I'd have the camera showing peoples faces. It's totally legal. People need to be informed that everyone has the right to film in public
As others have said, perfectly legal so stick to your guns. The irony is the guy was likely recorded multiple times that day on various cctv cameras etc. Bet he only had an issue with you filming though…
