Luisa Velez, my student, is from Mexico City. She has been learning Sitar for the last 4 years. She is a first generation learner of North Indian Classical Music.
The composition that she has played is an iconic composition in Piloo by Ustad Vilayat Khansahab. Please follow the Chikari use in the composition to appreciate the incredible mind of the great composer.
Maestro Sri Sandip Ghosh had very gracefully agreed to accompany her on the tabla distantly. We apologize for the absence of Sri Sandip Ghosh's video in this presentation. The original recording of Sri Sandip Ghosh was an audio file that was recorded by Sri Sandip Ghosh at his home studio in Kolkata. This recording was later mixed by my student Swarnabha Gupta from Mumbai with the video recording of Luisa Velez (shot in Mexico City by my student Geetanjali Jain at her home).
This concert was aired as a part of the only North Indian Classical Music Festival that is hosted in Mexico with Mexican talents. My Gurukul there is very proud to be hosting this event every year.

Thanks.. I am happy with her efforts. She works really hard in her own profession and is superbly successful in it. Yet she dedicates her remaining time to music seriously. She also has the right attitude of a disciple. It is a joy to teach such students.
