Chrysocolla is one of my top three favorites! I have several rings, pendants, and raw specimens in my collection. I lurve the combo of chrysocolla and malachite when they form together. It’s glorious! And Julie, I’m in the same boat, this mineral is my favorite color! Also, it has healing properties like promoting inner peace and harmony, and emotional healing. Love it! No wonder Craig’s one find was your life goal that day. That was a stunner! Great video!
It really is a beautiful combination! I’d never drive that road again though.😂 I’ll find a different area someday easier access, and just as beautiful, if not better. Again…Life goals!😂
@@AZRockhoundExpeditions Guuuurl, I don’t know what that ride was like for you, but I’ve got your back. We can each do a lot, take a lot, deal with a lot for the beautiful rocks. And also, there’s a limit, amirite? lol
DANG!! How many RockHound Skeletons are at the bottom of that Hole!?! The perfect trap !! I'd have to put a leash on Kathy!! The temptation would be to Much !!!
That chrysocola sure is gorgeous, love that color! You found some awesome pieces and those crystals are fantastic also. All of those points and seams are amazing! Thanks for sharing guys!🙌✌️🤠🤘❤️
🤣 I know, Brian had to really talk some sense into me, because I was really going to try…🤣 you could hear the disappointment in my voice as I was talking about the consequences of falling into the open mine.😁
After we washed off and used iron out, the rocks were very shiny in larger veins I think it was copper and lead ore, possibly silver. I don’t know how to go about testing it.
@@AZRockhoundExpeditions Lead ore is Galena and it usually has Silver and many other minerals. One way would be to test specific gravity. At any rate it's beautiful material. Thanks guys
We took an almost an impassable road. Would recommend a UTV to get up there. Our truck is 4X4 high clearance and I wouldn’t do it again. You gotta get up to about 3/4 of the way up the mountain. That’s where the good stuff is. Look for quartz, red-ish rock, that’s when you start running into the minerals. Watch out for claims. There are a lot up there.
I don’t have the coords for it as we don’t pin places people have taken us, but we were near the Oklahoma Mine. It’s on google. The road is terrible. UTV is probably a must. I wouldn’t even take our truck up there again, and it’s built for off road. Watch for claims if you go!

You got some gorgeous stuff (as usual). The bloopers were hilarious 😂😂
Thank you Garnet!😂🙌🏼

Thank you Kyla! I love all the colors of copper minerals! They are eye popping!😍
Love the crystals...a bonus while looking for other things! Great finds as always!
Thank you Michael! The crystals were a nice surprise!😃
I have one piece of chrysocolla I found in the goldfield mountains. Never seen that much before
I didn’t even take those pieces either, I wanted to find my own in bigger rocks. The only one I did take was that first one that Brian turned over.🤣
That was a fun trip. It's really cool to see how that black specular hematite still sparkles even after you slab it. Good job as always Julie.
Thanks again Layton, and yes! It was sooooo sparkly! I love it!
Absolutely beautiful colors and patterns. I love the zoom option on UA-cam.😊
There’s a zoom option??😃😃😃😎😎😎
When getting the 'blues' is a good thing! Fun adventure and nice finds you guys 👍
Thank you Brian!🙌🏼
1:50 Hey is that quartz?! If it is it's really similar to what I find in Missouri! So cool!!!
Yes! There was so much Quartz out there! There is chevron amethyst out there, we just weren’t in far enough.
So nice and green. Talk about a tease, all that Chrysocolla, and you can't reach it.
Thx, great job 👏

Beautiful stuff… and my favorite color too!
Thank you Tonya!
Ugh! Same in Missouri. Iron and quartz EVERYWHERE and amethyst is very rare... goals... LOL
🤣🙌🏼Goals!🤣
That was a fun hunt. Thanks you two😎😎
Thank you Darrin!🙌🏼
Love the crystals!
Me too!
Fun times.. Looking forward to going out there again! I'm bring the repel gear next time!!!
Well, now you tell me you have rappelling gear…🤣🤣🤣
🤩🤩🤩 RoCk on!!
Another Home Run you two.
Thank you Tazman!🙌🏼🙌🏼
I would say the crystal pocket was the find of the day, love the terminated goodness. Was that galena running through some of those?

One towards the end of the reveal looks like a skull. 💕
It does!😀💀
I've been there many times but have not found chrysocolla. And tips? :/
Please forgive my ignorance with the phosphates but will that have to be stabilized before working?
Some of it will need to be stabilized. We have some material that is hard enough to be worked.
I've been to mineral mountain many times but have not found any copper material. Any advice?

Do you remember if you were on the backside where the claims are or the front south side near pit?
can you provide coords?
