I have a Galaxy Cruz too, and find if you need to access the rear of the kayak whilst on it, just dangle your feet over the side and put your feet in the water, keeping your body in the centre of the kayak....
Hi ive got the exact same kayak, its brill on rivers. Bit difficult getting in and out from river banks and wooden stages, i put a portable fish finder on mine, a railblaza mount for camera but i found i need to buy their boom. I bought another anchor cleat and plan to start using two anchors. Its a pain not been able to reach around on the kayak but you soon learn.
I bought my gallaxy cruz in2018,I find it great on inland waterways.realy stable.Ihave like you bought a extra seat pad from ebay, much better.I use it for fishing, drop shotting and lure fishing mostly.well worth the money.loved the vid ,subscribed,hope to see many more vids of you useing it.
Hi Peter, i bought some 5mm drain plugs from Galaxy and they fitted a treat on my 2019 Cruz if thats any help. The handles on them do snap though so i'm looking for sturdier ones. Handy to be able to undo them quickly when some idiot boater comes along too fast.
I found the tip on UA-cam to use practice foam golf balls a drain plugs, they work 👍 unfortunately not much chance to be out on the kayak for the foreseeable future. Peter
Hi, I am only 5ft 4 so it is more than big enough for me, at 6ft you would fit but it would be a tad tight i would have thought. BUT they are a great starter kayak to find out if you enjoy using it and fishing from it. Good luck Peter
Well its a bit trial and error for me at the moment, they are all sealed but you do need to have some drainage to clear the water when its out of the water.. Good luck
If you look on the Canal & River trust website it says you need a licence to launch a kayak and in another section it also states you need a fishing permit where the water is not run by a fishing club. When you see all the tatty barges on the canals with no license I do wonder if they are worth bothering with ??? The Thames also has a licensing policy for Kayaks and other such craft.. I sealed up the holes that were making my arse and legs wet, I guess you do need to leave some open to drain water out. I use the kayak on small lakes and canals which means I do not need to drain water and if I do I can land and tip it out.
I drillled a hole and cut a slot in the scupper plug feed the leads though it and then through the scupper hole. Pulled it tight added a zip tie round the cable to hold it there. Then siliconed it in. Later I covered the transducer with gorilla tape to cover it and protect it. As yet no issues. Hope that helps. Peter

Hi John, they fit in the scupper hole from the top down when afloat, you should be able to spot them in the thumb nail. Peter

i thought it was best to keep all the plugs away, keep the holes open?
