Yes, Rob would be extremely well connected (he has interacted with pretty much anyone who would be on this season), but he would probably also have the biggest target in Survivor history on his back.
Parvati made it to the end of Heroes vs. Villains despite having a huge target on her back so maybe Rob could too. The game changes constantly and new alliances are always forming so it's entirely possible that he could go far. Also, there are idols and advantages he could potentially get that might strengthen his game.
He could employ the Lions not Hyenas strategy maybe - in a reverse of his strategy, just band with the biggest meat shields and biggest jury threats and get there to the end with them. He has become a player who just needs to get to f3 and you'd want to vote for him.
I actually think he could go under the radar. More people would know him as the guy that does the podcast rather than the masterful, cutthroat strategist that was way ahead of his time. It's been 20 years since he last played.
I met Christy a year or two ago at an event, and she still watches and keeps up with all the advantages. She told me she would absolutely play again given the opportunity, and seems to be way more up on strategy, don’t underestimate her! Also, I would hope that in 2025 CBS could handle accessibility better to give her a shot of communicating with other players when it’s dark outside etc.
I never genuinely considered the fact that Rob could play again until this podcast and the thought of it made me visibly happy. Knowing him and all the fun things he would come up with, both strategic and comedic, bringing him back is a must. It won't happen of course but it would be incredible
Rob, Alex. and Christy because her "wicked step-sisters" exit confessional and asking Jeff if the spaghetti had garlic bread and then going "Ah, no garlic bread!" are iconic moments.
AHHHH!!!!! So many people from this season I’d love to see again: Rob, OF COURSE just DESERVES to be offered the chance to play again. Personally, I’m a Morasca Minion from day 1 and I have so much love for Jenna Morasca, so I’d love to see her play again. Heidi, Christie, Deena, and Deena would be so exciting to see again, but the cast would need to be so big.
Rob could get voted out 1st, and literally every human that loves survivor would milk that first episode of confessionals for all it’s worth. He HAS to go on if he gets the offer… everyone loves him.
Amazon as a cast is always so overlooked. So many fantastic players and characters that are easily all-star/second chance worthy: Cesternino and Jenna (third chance), Deena, Christy, Heidi, Butch, Matt, Alex, Jeanne.
Shannon and Mike managing both Rob’s reality tv career and podcast network is so funny and on brand 😂 I do echo everything they said about how they think Rob might do. I think he’d likely get through the early game based on connections, but might be too tall of a tree come the merge. But if he can manage his threat level well enough and make the endgame I think he’d stand a great shot of winning. But if we all can see this from here, it’s likely all of the other players can too. It feels like he would have more of a Kaleb trajectory than a Kenzie one. Jenna really is a game changer in so many ways! Besides being the youngest winner at the time of playing until Fabio, she also is tied for the record of women with the most immunity wins in a season with four. And as you mentioned, the only person in US survivor to give up the immunity necklace and not get voted out. And yes she’s also (along with Heidi) the originator of the dual survivor confessional, which I just find so incredibly fun to watch! With her being a winner and then having to leave the way she did on All Stars (which is still such an emotionally charged scene 🥺) and her life trajectory after all that, I think she would be very interesting to see again. So yeah, definitely pushing forward Rob and Jenna for the Amazon. I think any of Heidi, Christy, or Deena would be a good third pick. If I had to only pick one of those, I’d go with Christy tbh. I think she’s just an interesting person and character and already has some built in narratives, not just because of her being the first deaf contestant, but also because of how she goes out as the two sides turned on the swing vote, and then she had the controversial jury vote too.
For me personally Christa Hastie is that Deena Bennett figure from Pearl Islands. She was such a whackadoo personality but really charming. This Big Bird figure with a voice like she was pinching her nose. She just makes me smile. The unknown is that I have no idea if she still watches the show or who she is at 46, but that's true of a lot of these people.
Alex is one of only two survivors I’ve ever met. Very nice guy and owns a good coffee shop in Oakland. Didn’t know he was mariried to Kim Powers. Loving this series!
pre Second Chances one tribe, advantagegeddon/big-move-itis era second tribe, new era 3rd tribe.. 7 or 8 people per tribe.. make it as long as Australian Survivor people will watch!! 2hr episodes.. will make for better viewing than that other "yeah, we're all on the same flight to the new country, our time advantage is gone" show
rob goes on survivor and returns to MSHAP 😂 I mean if CBS could swing it Rob would be the get of the season for sure. If Rob is on the ballot he will be the number one vote getter for freaking sure! lol I remember the excitement in RHAP when Stephen went to Cambodia, this is only going to be even more seismic. If we get a Rob vs Stick segment ... 😍😍😍 In addition, because of how humble he is on the podcast, sometimes I forget just how much of a mark Rob left in Survivor as a player - I mean he was THE player of Amazon - the first player you think of when you think of Amazon, the most important element of that season - that doesn't actually an awful lot, for a singular player to be the face of a season. CBS should do all they can to get Rob on S50 really.
Hear me out, y'all. Don't take this the wrong way. My bias for wanting Rob on season 50 is real. As far as a wishlist representative for Amazon, it would still be Rob without the bias. The problem is if I take out the fact I've been following RHAP for at least 5+ years (I think), would I still pick Rob as one of the 18-20 players to return in all of Survivor history? Probably not, but since I have..I do. 😅
Yeah. Most casual fans I feel may not remember him if they haven't heard or listened to RHAP. My casual family don't remember Rob at all. When I bring up Amazon. The only names ringing a bell are Jenna, Heidi and Matthew. 😢
@jennyk885 My mom doesn't remember Rob off-hand when I asked her today. I get where you are coming from. She's as casual as it gets. She barely remembers names outside of the current season airing and the previous season to the current season. She does remember old contestants by their actions (Russel, Boston Rob, Sandra, Parv, Rupert, Colby, Cirie, to even newer contestants, ect). One thing I have a feeling about Rob in comparison to majority of other players is the potential.
If they were to bring Heidi back I’d like to see them do another old vs young season. But this time the old tribe is returning players who were originally in the young person archetype.

I feel like Heidi would just be better television and gameplay than Jenna. If we have to decide between the two because Rob and Deena are such slam dunks, I'd go Heidi. Also, just looking her up, it seems as though she's divorced from Cole Hamels. While I'm sure she's doing fine financially, it might have lit a fire under her personally to come back.

I think it would be awesome for her to play again. Also show that she’s not just her disability and flesh her out as a character
