Middlesbrough railway station consists of an entrance hall with ticket office, large concourse/waiting area and two covered platforms that are each subdivided into two sections i.e. platform 1 (1a and 1b) and platform 2 (2a and 2b). This film contains views from a Transpennine Express train as it approaches Middlesbrough from the South, views from both platforms of the station infrastructure , views of Transpennine Express and Northern Trains at the station and views of the station architecture both internally and externally.

Middlesbrough has some rather fine architecture, both traditional and modern. Pity that the station roof has gone - bomb damage - and that he Newport Bridge no longer lifts.
