Hello Clayton from Wyoming USA ... I returned from a 4 day stay last night at Last Mountain Lake Saskatchewan Canada. What an experience, my first time to Canada and will not be my last. G&S Marina in a few words, is an outstanding facility clean has all you need for a wonderful stay. The fishing...well your video's tells that story. Thank you for sharing all your video's along with tackle, presentation, conditions & proper way to handle, catch and release... you are a true sportsman. Keep the great video's coming... !!!! Warmest Regards "Ugo"
That was impressive. You guys make it look easy. A backtrolling tip: To slow down even more while backtrolling trim the motor all the way up. This reduces the amount of "bite" the prop has on the water, so it moves less water for every rpm, and this slows you down.
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors No worries, Mr. Clayton. I was trying to be helpful. If it doesn't work for you it doesn't work. I've got an 05 Alumacraft Tournament Pro 185 with a 90 HP Yamaha 4 stroke tiller and it backtrolls to fast and that trim the motor way up trick helps me so I thought I'd pass it on.
Clayton fishing by him self *rods everywhere absolute mess on the boat*, Clayton fishing with Adam *immaculate boat*, also love the vmc spinshot, have caught all of my walleye on that so far this year.
Gotta come down to southern MN. On the MN river. Full of donkeys as you would call them lol. Can get 4 or 5 fish over 28 in one day some days. Me and some guys have done it twice this year already. Most fish caught in 2-4 feet of water as well.
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors its such an overlooked fishery....everyone goes to the Mississippi which gets hammered all day/everyday. The MN has a bigger/more quality average than the Mississippi by far in my opinion
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors I understand the respect you have for fish. It's an awesome way to lead for other fishermen watching. Especially the youngsters that don't know better. Fortunately I live on Erie and they all go in the box and I don't fish past my limit. Biologist said a walleye can reach 26" in 7 year in Lake Erie... I just trim the the red off and chunk it up. I feel the same way about other boats hauling the mail past you closely. I just have a small 1983 17.5’ Lund so when a new and bigger boat passes me I feel everything and it just rocks my boat. Love the vids man keep them goods coming.

Not alot of guys catch fish like that on the mountain! I was there on weekend and caught lots but nothing that big. There's so many spots that hold walleye but to find those spots is the fun part!!
What an amazing day of fish Clayton, this has gotten me so pumped up for my fishing trip with my bud next week, on the hunt for BIG BLUE Walleye at our friends camp. We pretty much follow a similar routine, early morning hyper rattles / jigging raps, and then mark and target with drop shot or slip bobbers. Great channel, really enjoy it.
Hey Clayton been a bit since asked about green / red lures. My best walleye is 28 1/4 on lake Milac in Minnesota. @adam, if CSO has a big one on and not watching you give that man a slight nudge and see that coat is wearing doubles a life jacket. All in fun….
CSO. Adam is the net master. Video 4 what are you using as a lure. Not the drop shot but it looked like a rapela. Replying back to us fans is what I call beyond the scope and the best way to keep us coming back for more.
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors right on , we used bottom bouncers a couple weeks ago on Lake Huron , fishing in 25 ft did really good, I grew up with a jig and worm, leach, minnow, it is fun trying new techniques, going to have to get me some hyper rattles for sure
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors Forsure, gonna head back at the end of the month. A lot of hogs nice job getting em! Lol I got 2nd place at a tournament with 8 other boats around and caught them without a issue. If you are drop shotting and using VMC SpinShot hooks. Tie lighter line to the bottom eye and if you are fishing over rocks or snag infested water use split shot instead of tied on sinkers.
