- Got my 20 year old snap-on screwdriver replaced under warranty without a receipt. Also, bought the cheapest POS Harbor Freight screwdriver in the store for an unrelated project.
So, despite the lack of anything much in common, I am unable to resist the urge to do a Snap-On vs Harbor Freight comparison.
More importantly, I found out how to contact Snap-On to get warranty service on an old tool. The link is right here:

He said “sexy beast”, I feel the same way about a few of my tools. Same problem w the Mrs so I stocked the kitchen drawer w some USA craftsman stubbies, a nice pink tape measure and a box cutter. These cover about 90% of her needs. BTW just ordered this same Snap On Screwdriver and look forward to many years of use. Great video!
back in the day those 4 in ones used to be pretty damn handy for working inside computers. The big phillips and hex for outside screws, the little phillips and hex for motherboard screws and risers. My go-to stanley usa ratcheting screwdriver lived for about 6 years of service. I treat screwdrivers like a consumable, and stock up on new cheap ones often.
The harbor freight is a much better design. You can actually use the bits to reach down in a hole, or put them on a drill.
I keep Milwaukee 9 in 1 ratchet screwdriver standard and stubby version, in the kitchen.
HF has some gems that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Wish some were slightly better quality.
I just buy the Williams ratcheting screwdrivers there’s a guy that sells them on eBay for $33. The only down side is not picking you’re color but who cares it’s less than half the cost. Even the T handles are about the same price.
I’ve never paid for one of these Harbor Freight screwdrivers. (Free item coupon) But it still came with the same lifetime warranty as the ones people pay money for. So I’m not going to complain about a free screwdriver for life. Would you?
