Hey guys let me know if this comment is going through? ive had some technical difficulties leaving comments lol Anyways good to be back! #NODSQUADrepresent
yeah, like the Lt explained...you won't know its a police car until its too late...I saw the yellow tag was a perfect example of how it can still be identified but it won't be until you're right up on it!
If Nick is on more of these videos I'm definitely going to watch them, Nick is definitely the best person to show us police work. Also we love police cars and we love emergency lights 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nick!! We need a reunion with Geo, sergeant Diaz and the guy that worked with the boys and girls club… can’t remember him. Those were the best vlogs. Good to have you back Nick. I watch all of your off duty stuff too. 👍
Nice… those vehicles are beautiful. I hope you catch all the DUI around Little Havana and SW 8 Street. I remember the old times with Sgt. Taborda, Kimberly, Kennedy, and others. Be safe!
Great video as always! I enjoyed watching this show. I think there needs to be more videos like this. I do think there should be more traffic stops and I think the next vlog should be how officers do traffic stops.
Love the videos on the squad cars! Very informative. If I may suggest a video, could you showcase how one of the squads is built from the ground up, from purchase, to decaying to look get installs to equipment installation to on the streets. Call it something like “The Birth Of a Miami Police Car” just a suggestion. Stay safe out there!
I'm surprised its taken this long for them to take on the Ghosted graphics, I've been seeing these for man years now. The idea is more than a decade old. Generally where I am located, they don't care to much about low viz markings. But we have a few. The other ones are very dark printed decals that barely contain color on black paint. But for the most part we just run completely unmarked traffic units. And since we are still coming out of stock replenishments from covid supplies, we have all sorts of odd ball vehicles being used in all sorts of new configurations. Like minivans, or Chev trucks in the ZR2 trims, and alike. Or other different trims with chrome or forged wheels, leather seats and fully loaded packages. Its all the fleet departments can get still. We have Parking authority running around in Ford Escapes in the top trim levels because of that supply and demand issue, but we were able to get base trim pricing on them.
Our local police force also has a ghosted car, but it's all black. They outfitted the car with dark gray decals that are almost impossible to see. They took it a step further by using an SUV that is a completely different model from the rest of their fleet so it's not easily identifiable as a police vehicle just based on vehicle type/shape. I was passed by the ghosted vehicle on the highway and had no idea it was a police vehicle until it was right next to me. Such a great concept!
same here. we have loaded trim levels on some, and even ZR2 off road packaged police vehicles now. Its all fleet can find coming out of the covid supply shortages. Out top tier traffic police are even going as far as building what look like construction trucks, with headache racks and other stickers on the rear windows, AND I've even seen them wearing coveralls. Literally seen them put them on and off before heading out on highway patrol in F350's or Mid trim F150s
They’re becoming more and more common now. One of our departments here now has all of their cars ghosted 3 chargers 1 explorer 1 f150 and a Tahoe. But they only have maybe 5 miles of area to cover plus agency assist. 1 of them isn’t reflective and that’s the one they use at night and they get a lot of people
That's so cool police car‼️ And the lieutenant his old style sam browne belt is so cool too.😎 BTW,on this video @ the parking I can see many Toyota Camry. They are also un-marked police cars⁉️ Yea,here in Japan some detective units used and in Tokyo metropolitan police traffic unit use TRD version. But I think it looks not so cool than in there.😂 And sorry what does nean "DUI"⁉️
Miami is a beautiful city so warm. I love sunshine and hot weather. I hate when driving can get lost and end up in bad areas. Miami is so dangerous it can be scary when being a tourist with a rent a car. I do remember back in 1999 when I was in my late 20's and I had to return my rental car at 430 am at Miami Airport to get my 630 flight back to NY. I got off the highway way before the actual airport exit. I saw signs for Miami Airport and got off because I needed to get gas to fill up to return car with full tank so I stopped at gas station but it was a bad area and I drive a ways from the highway. I thought that exist I got off was actually the airport exit but was not. I expected to see a gas station right off hwy like 20 feet but I think I had gone about 4 to 5 lights down the road. After fueling up, I kindly asked a police officer how to get to the airport thinking I was like 4 blocks or so. I was wrong I was still not close enough to airport. The nice police officer offered to escort me back to the highway. He said it is bad to be in this area at night. He knew I was a tourist and had to return car back to rental. He was so nice to help me get back to hwy. He said follow me I will get you back to the highway to go to MIA. As I was following him,I stopped at red lights. He then waited and backed up and told me not to stop at the light that he ran them and told me to follow him. He said not to stop and just proceed. Take in mind, it was a bad area and still is I believe. He even radioed his other cop to guide me to the entrance of the hwy. He was a very cool and a nice cop to help both were. Although, he was at gas station having coffee. He saw I was lost. I wanted to thank him. I waved. I told him I would love to buy him a coffee as a nice gesture for helping if I ever returned but I hardly visited MIAMI after that. I went to south beach a few times. The point is there are good cops out there. I wish I ran into him again to shake his hand and thank him. He was around 40s and Hispanic. I was 26 in 1999. Back then there was no gas station like a block from the highway exit for the airport like there is now. The car rental center is diff now. Back then it was in a diff place. The area right around the airport is so dangerous and no one should ever be around there at night. I recently drove there at daytime and saw how it was built up more gas stations and things around. In daytime no one bothers you but still so bad of an area how do cops even drive around. I do not understand why the city of Miami does not warn the tourists visiting ahead of time to be careful driving within the area of the airport even 2 blocks from the airport and not to stop anywhere you can be hurt and seriously be dangerous.
Nick, I think an additional resource that could also benefit this DUI Enforcement vehicle would be the addition of a Sotoxa instrument. After noticing the LT appears to be a DRE it is a great resource with the increase in drug impaired driving. Just a thought.
My local PD in Ohio has been using blacked out Ford Explorers with black letters ever since the first police Explorers hit the streets. But they do have a full LED light bar on the roof.
Confused. Just seems like an unmarked police car, but with subtle decals. Doesn't seem groundbreaking, or how it would take a year to build. But that's probably more about the electronics
They have them in my city Cincinnati but there for the Springdale district and they all back them things tuff they have Durango’s and Tahoes and many more
Where can I contact the department with some questions about eligibility and the hiring process? Thanks for all you do it is so so helpful for aspiring police officers!
I like the ghost vehicle, and how they are trying to help process DUIs, but what I really like is the "Ice Cream truck". You are starting young children off on the right foot, showing them that the Police are really there for YOU, and they really care about your life and safety. Great job, and many thanks
I want my Tahoe set up just like that with the lights in the window and all the special equipment in it I want lights on the side of the window and all that I'm going to install everything myself I'm going to spend a bit of money on lights but it will be worth it like my other squad cars I have.
I will be joining the academy soon to become an officer of Miami police I don’t want Miami dade because I feel like you guys have family chemistry there and I want that. you will see me soon nick I promise I will be in SWAT 🤙🏽😄
Hey Nick, I’m going to join SJSO in 2025 when I’m finished with my Crim. Justice classes. Can you do an updated 2024 Ford Explorer Interceptor walkthrough?
Hey Miami PD can we please see a Night Patrol with this Same Ghosted vehicle for Traffic Enforcement. It would be amazing to see how thing are done at night with this specific division within your department also I'm sure the Emergency Lights will look beautiful at night. 😆😆😆
Wait, I remember heir Dr. Carpenter! He was a star on the video where he didn’t know jack about the fourth amendment. Did that interaction cost the city (sorry, the taxpayers) anything? It’s very telling that this dude is the on heading this vehicle. 🙌
I was always told not to stop for unmarked vehicles due to people pretending to be cops. So you think this helps public relations by being sneaky? Is this for “officer safety” or just used to generate more revenue?

Social Media Office Tour?
Love the work you are all doing! Stay safe out there!!!
Nick i see those types white and black ghosted in fort lauderdale but the one in miami looks amazing 🔥🔥

What's the point of the ghosted version? Wouldn't it be beneficial for citizens to be able to easily recognize a police vehicle if they're in trouble?
It’s a specialized unit vehicle.
@@chadwrickjclarke what in the vague word salad is even that?
@@bandwagon240 regular patrol units are supposed to be high visibility.
A vehicle specialized for traffic enforcement, would be more subdued.
They have hundreds of marked vehicles
@@Rapheal.De.La.Ghetto so why do they need one specifically for revenue collection?
the unmarked traverse is sick lets look at that next and do a ride along so we can see what it does
