    For the water reflections, sometimes you use displacement filter, and some time you use glass filter. What are the factors which affect you to decide which filter to use ? More specifically, why don’t you use the glass filter effect in this video/artwork?

    • @REDOUANENAOURI
      @REDOUANENAOURI Рік тому

      The glass filter is useful to give that water reflection look but it can't give you a reflective edges, if you're working on a simple background that contains no complicated objects that need to have water reflection separately then you use the glass filter, but for me I had to work on the boat alone and If I applied the glass filter it will not give me that realistic water reflection edges, for that the water displacement was the go to, in general water displacement technique is always better it just takes time to get the best results, it took me like 10 minutes repeating the step till I got that result.

      Showing the whole process of me using lasso tool to fix the left outs of the Object tool will just make the video longer, after fixing the selection I make it a mask for the castle

    • @kingleon5338
      @kingleon5338 Рік тому +1

      @@REDOUANENAOURI I think what it was for me was how you were able to get rid of the things you did not want in your selection extraction. I figured out it was basically shift + delete, after making the selection with a lasso tool. Little things like that is crucial when someone is learning. I'm not knocking your art level or teaching style however each video should be approached as if you are teaching yourself all over again as if your are new to photo manipulation. Then again you do have alot of videos so you probably covered the step already.

    • @REDOUANENAOURI
      @REDOUANENAOURI Рік тому

      @@kingleon5338 I said in the beginning of the video that the techniques that I explained in previous videos will not be explained in this one just so I don't make the video longer, but you can check my playlist on the channel and watch the videos were those steps explained more in depth, with that said what I did was a selected the parts I wanted to remove and clicked shift + f5 and chose content aware.
