I can't express how hard it is to get off a plane from a place that has a 7 hour difference in time zone and go play golf. I've done it a handful of times, and your body simply doesn't function the way it usually does. Still an awesome (albeit discombobulating) experience.
Gotta be easier then golfing on shrooms but not as much fun. Now go tuck your shirts in and get them cute capris and a bun.

What an incredible experience to have on the resume! And, for the record, +5 was tied with or BETTER than 32 of the first round scores in this past Open Championship. That is extremely comendable and you should be very proud. Great job, Micah!

Congrats Tig, great round. To think that there were so many Tour Pros day before who had their caddie work their butts off to prepare and get all the stats and nummbers and yardages and miss places etc. and yet they finished like or worse than you.....Great job man, especially when it must have been really intimidating.
Valid point! The last few putts that just didn't drop could have easily made him +2. He played pretty well for being jet lagged and the course still being in tournament condition too.
This type of golf will enhance your game long term, Good Good needs to play these tougher courses .
Not tougher, just a different, unknown track and not what they're used to. Going from a 13 to a 10 is like putting through the mud. It's his first day, first round and his game was way off. If they had a month there most of them would shoot PGA level scores. Guaranteed.
@@martyfarrell9459 Micah is a phenomenal golfer but not one of the good good members is even remotely close to a PGA Tour level golfer.

There are times that Tig sounds like Bob Ross as he’s explaining a shot he’s about to take…so quiet and peaceful, very relaxed. I love it! Tig, your catch phrase needs to be something like “let’s put a happy little shot right down there” or something like that! 😆

I’ve been lucky enough to play St. Andrews and it’s a very special place, it’s so special that you could see that Michar couldn’t help smiling even when he was topping the ball. Took all the frustration out of him.
This is so surreal to watch even for your subscribers it’s awesome. I think I really felt how special this is when finch said “bubbie would be proud” when you did the Texas wedge it sent gossbumps through me! Something special about seeing good good across the world. I was fortunate to play St. Andrews and it was round of lifetime! Every golfer needs to cross this course off their bucket list!

Tig - I know exactly how stoked you were to play St. Andrews the day after the final round of The Open, as I had a similar experience playing Pebble Beach the morning after the final round of the 1984 US Open won by Tom Watson (I was 21 at the time). The only tee markers out were the final round championship tees and the grounds crew hadn’t changed the hole locations from the final round holes with the inside lip painted white, so I got to play the exact same set-up as Watson played. I didn’t fare quite as well as you did at St. Andrews, as I shot an 82. But that was still a better score than the final round scores of 4 players. It is great that you got this experience, as I guaranty you will remember this experience the rest of your life. Best Regards,

Some people are going to be hyping up the competition between you and the Brits, but man, I'm just glad you had this experience and got to make friends with the other golfers across "the pond"! Just watching this after Finch’s video. Got back from my golf tournament where I shot 78 and won. I was one over through nine but ended up having basically the opposite kind of round as you, Micah. Love these vids

Its just like during the Open. The ball can be on a perfect line, but once it hits the ground it will roll another 40-100 yards and could end up just about anywhere

So listen when I say this Tig: you played better than +5 that day. Yes, the card says +5 but you’d have been at scratch the next day just knowing where you want to miss on this course. Knowing THAT is 85% of the puzzle. St. Andrews - for a shorter course - can get tricky on ya. It was an exceptional round. I was impressed. Your first time around!
