Taking my daughter to see the Rep tour in Seattle was absolutely one of the best days of my life. We drove 5 hours down from Vancouver and then back up again the same day. I picked her up early from school and she thought she was off to the orthodontist. She nearly hyperventilated when I presented her with the tickets. She'd just been to see Slayer with her dad, and then she got to go to Taylor with mom. I cried a few times just watching Cara's absolute joy at being there.
Oh Wow we had similar experiences! I took my daughter to see her in Manchester, was seriously one of the best concerts I've ever seen! The Fireworks, the flames, the confetti added to the magic that filled the arena that night as Taylor Swift sang, played, danced & spoke to us from the heart. To share that with my daughter who was 11 at the time is a memory forever etched in my heart. It's hard to put into words the feelings that night. It really was perfect 💛

Me and my best friend tried to participated in every single way possible to be part of this pocket show back in 2012 and we didn't get it, we cried for days hahaha cause Taylor is one of our favorite artists of all time. So this year we were granted with a real show in Brazil for the first time and than the fucking corona came and ruined everything UGH you can imagine how sad the brazilian fans got when this happened!

I have to say. Growing up I never really liked Taylor Swift; I just saw the hysteria of her fandom all around my groups of friends and ironically all the reasons I would give for why I didn’t like her back then somehow ended up being the exact reasons I LOVE her now. And I realized i only thought that way because I listened to other people that didn’t like her music either without actually listening to it myself and those shortsighted criticisms became the whole reason I eventually became a full on Swiftie! Im so glad I decided to really give her a shot and genuinely listen through her discography learning more about her as a person along the way. I have to remind myself sometimes that mainstream doesn’t always necessarily mean bad or vapid of any real substance. There has to be a reason so many people love her and her music. And it might be easy to write her off as another sellout pop star if you’re getting your only information about her from other sources, but when you actually start to get to know her and her story growing up in such a toxic and at times predatory industry, you can instantly understand why she’s so successful and why so many of her fans have such a deep love and respect for her as well as why her fans in particular are for the most part lifelong fans that have sort of grown up and gone through life alongside her and could truly relate to her Oh god! Find it crazy Taylor doesn't tour South America maybe she doesn't have a "big market" there like other continents. In Australia we only get people who tour internationally if they sell big/have an audience/if their management is good bc it's so far away. We've only had 1 Ariana tour & she's always charting in Australia from her first album & Jonas brothers have never toured here either & their last album was #3 & their singles were some of the most played on radio. I remember some artists find out how far it is to travel(only 14hrs flight from LA not that bad tbh especially when they're in first class😂) & they cancel that month/week of the tour.
im kind of a newer fan also (well , from 2015) when i heard blank space. that was it. and i dived in and wanted to know who is taylor. what artist is she. how is her personality. i listened to 1989 album and omg. im not over exaggerating at all when i say that the cd never left my car stereo and i played the 1989 album religiously. it just fit right in no matter what, day or night. i was obsessed. watched her on ellen and other talk shows, i watched everything. i read comments. i read the lovers, the haters. the media. and i just became a massive, swiftie. i never would have thought because i loved britney spears growing up... jlo, i liked rihannas songs, katy perry and lady gagas music... rnb music... and taylor swift was the artist that was missing!!!! like a piece to a puzzle. my love for music, story telling all started coming out, like it was the real me. what my soul needed. i especially realised than no other artist had a fan base that screamed for her and adored her so much and her songs and that made me really happy. i got to see her live at the reputation stadium tour. the stadium wasnt all full... so there was a massive empty gap between where i was on the stand and the crowd in the middle ... and then taylor. it all seemed so far away. thats the only down side. but it would of been amazing in america, where everyone stands up. in perth australia the crowd stayed seated! i wish i attended these concerts.
