There different applications of them. Quingy is for burst characters like zhu yan , harumasa. Trigger is for on field characters as new anby, or best example is ellen who wants stay on field 90% of time. So look at characters that you have want to pull to see what is better option.
Currently trigger is only bis in 1 team and that’s as anby. She’s still not a bad investment if you want future units or additional attack meta. But currently any meta teams with a stunner still want qingyi/lighter

But after the changes is kinda optimal to have ZY on field a bit more now so you can build her ultimate for the next stun cycle. So having a stunner that can apply daze off-field and providing DMG buff on top of that is a big deal for ZY I believe, especially if Trigger have good personal damage. We gonna have to wait to see the calcs

Trigger is far more interesting than I expected, but her being a dps under the stun tag is actually really bad since she might really require her sig to be played in that way as none of the current stun weapons have any offensive stats, just impact and ER.
I really love her design and gameplay so far, but she looks hard to built for the reason you said. For F2P and low-spenders pulling a sig W-engine for stunner is hard to justify...

If you haven't seen yet, Pulchra boosts the new additional attack mechanic by like 30%, is an off field stunner proper, and because shes a Sons of Caly her team building is super flexible.
5:20 "When other team members' attacks hit enemies" I wonder if this applies to minion characters like Lucy's boars. Kinda like how Lucy's W engine takes that into account

I personally use Haru+QY. Haru deals most damage during the stun period so QY who adds percentage multiplier during that time, suits him more. I'm even gonna get QY's WE on the 2nd half of this patch. With Koleda's WE, QY can literally stun anything with one-two full combos. Triger is for agents who also deal much damage outside the stun period.
Unless you have his m1, Harumasa still prefers Qingyi as he's better played as a burst dps. M1 allows him to be in his enhanced state longer meaning he can on-field more.
You are answering yourself in the question. Evelyn wants a stun unit, like any Attack unit. Which one? Lighter because he boosts fire, every other stunner is an alternative yes. That being said, Astra Yao swap boogaloo helps comp to stun fast, so it's a matter of using a stun that is not resisted by stage boss
Just any stunner will do. Lighter is obviously the best since he buffs fire/ice but it will be months until his rerun since he just was available. Personally I'm getting Trigger for Evelyn. Didn't had funds for Lighter when he was available.
Next best stunner for Evelyn right now would be koleda or qingyi. Trigger looks like she'll be really good too, but she hasn't been released yet so the info we have is subject to change

Tigger looks amazing but I have a concern when she is in aim mode she move far away and so far most attacks do lower damage when the attacker is far away from the target and trigger don’t have any mechanic to teleport her toward the enemy after finishing the aim mode. Additionally can the aim mode still attack moving enemies she is electric agent and most electric machines move a lot.
I love my Qingyi and the buff she gives, as an off field buff dps, but Trigger looks really cool! Imma skip both though since I have Harumasa and Yanagi built
Qingyi is fully universal. You can play her both on field, or to rotate in to Stun quickly. While she won't have perfect synergy with SAnby, I don't think that will matter too much
Hopefully in the beta, it gets some changes to make it work better with Harumasa or to give a bit of PEN in its W engine so it improves Rina a little (copium**)
I didn't get her w-engine and she clears content like there's no tomorrow's, I use last patches event w-engine for attack agent just to reach 80% crit and it works just fine
You should always roll for who you like, not for who is meta. The main reason being that after said characters banner is over all the events that cater to them will be over. And if you don't like their play style you're just gonna be stuck with a character you burned at most 180 pulls
It very much depends on which dps you want to play. Qingyi is there for burst DPS that deals a lot in a short amount of time, like Zhu Yan or Harumasa, Trigger will be there for DPS that stays on field, like Ellen or SAnby.

The only truly downside to me is the cri rate scaling. She's another character non-attacker that scales with cri rate making her hard to build without her sig
Well yeah that's why their standard chars. Like lycaon is probably the most useful right now and that's purely because his ice dmg buffing increase, hes pretty much just ex special dump and swap bot. And it's mostly due to his clunky enhanced basic combo. And then there's Rina who's really only useful at m1 and has so many mid mindscapes for a support it's just sad (m1,m4,w1 being her best upgrades). And those are the useful ones.
She really are a sub dps ? Her dps seems pretty week for that even if she is the better stuner dps, its to expensive to build a stuner with offensive stats for a little bit amount of additional dps. I hope she is, his gameplay and kit are insane, but realistically ... I dont think. Her buff seems laking too, she is not complete in my opinion. And the fact that she seems to be dedicated to Anby and so be garbage outside of that is the worst thing to me. I dont want Anby that is too mid but that is the only thing that justify pulling for trigger. Even Pulchra for now is close to her LOL (Trigger is really incomplete). Really sad.
Atk and faction passive requirement? I dunno, that's a huge limiting factor for her and qingyi to me. If she had support or preferably/faction, it would make her a must pull. As of now there's no real point for qingyi havers to get her, or if account has miyabi/burnice/yanagi or jane.
@ I think you'll need to have at least one of the two. Astra will make your Zhuyuan team less standard, but she is also very good in other teams. Qingyi is very strong and makes the team feel complete, but is only really good with Zhu and Harumasa. You can look up Zhu Yuan gameplay with Astra and without Qingyi and decide if you're ok playing that way, if yes, then I think Astra should be more valuable for your account.

Haru is a burst DPS, whether played with Anomaly or Stun. Unless Trigger spends a decent time on field, Qingyi will be better

I put attack on "F", solved that problem for me.
