ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

Silk was definitely the selling point of this set for me but I didn't have a Doc Ock so overall I'm satisfied.
I came for the Dr Ock (because I missed the OG release) but fell in love with the Silk figure.
The safety issue sounds like a lot of horseshit because they put a Bendy wire in the scorpion tail and on the new retro lizard
What makes it worse Hasbro isn't even targeting these towards kids, so are they afraid adults are gonna hurt themselves with bendy wire?🤣
@@chewymew they are definitely targeted toward kids.
Maybe it’s a legal remit thing. Ock would be *four* wire armatures, whereas Scorpion and Lizard are one each. I’m just grateful I’ve got spare bendy tentacles from older figure releases and maybe one day Hasbro can do something similar.
If bendy wire is a safety issue, they should design something similar to a doll armature instead. That would allow for a ratcheted tentacle set and maybe the hands could have different poses, and be swapped between tentacles
The headsculpt for silk is great. For a better korean likeness she just needs darker eyes. I still love this two pack tho
Silk was always a figure I wanted but kept on missing. I ended up getting her on ebay and she is awesome. The Doc Oc skulpt is great but I already have him.
The silk body mold looks pretty damn good, hope to see a lot of reuse, with a little bit of luck for a new Psylocke ninja figure 🤞
The blue background makes the video quality so much better and helps bring out the colors of the figures a lot more! Keep it around!
I’m pretty happy and excited with this 2 pack. It’s kinda hard getting your hands on the other doc ock for a decent price. This 2 pack is pretty much what you’d pay for one old doc. I definitely agree with you about the tentacles and how they should be more articulable. Great review as always
To be honest, I don't have a Silk figure because I never new she existed in the Spider-verse, But she does look beautiful and badass while being an Amazon exclusive sucks and so does the $60.99 $64.99 price, I still might get this 2 pack, We well see, Fantastic review on this 2 pack Shartimus.
I missed out on the Doc Ock when he first came out so possibility of getting him now was like perfect opportunity to fill the empty space in my Spidey display.
Silk is nice addition too and the shriek body mold plus both heads makes it worth it for me.

I'll have to see if I can find that Silk loose. I have the original Silk but I missed the Fan one, so that's the best way I can get that costume, plus those extra hands and gorgeous heads.

Ikr, that's so stupid, especially considering Doc Ock is one of the biggest villains in all of comics
I mentioned that in the interview where I asked and they said it was because the diameter on the Scorpion tail was thicker. At the time I didn’t think about the diameter of the Mr. Fantastic arms. I’ll make sure to address it to the Hasbro team some time.
They did the bendy wire for scorpions tail. I think they just gave ya bull crap cuz they forgot or lazy

What's funny is that I only wanted this for the silk figure cause I didn't have one. But while waiting for this to release I purchased the other two versions as well so now I have all three
Didn't have Silk.. after all the releases of her I just seemed to miss it. But a homie sent me Cindy for a decent price being that I have ol' Doc Ock already! I have to say I think she's great and more than worth missing the other releases! Stoked!!

Awhile back I sold my doc when I saw he was going for 100. So was happy to pick this up again with silk who I needed.

They are not. They look like garbage. Will definitely need to bust out the paints for this figure.

@@sigerlion8608 even without increasing the price, they already make a lot of profit already. All of their releases so far, mostly are just a bunch of old body mold with minimal paint, minimal accessories and even worse QC. Still looks like a cheap looking toys.
@@NightWatch0997 Yes absolutely. It only costs them a few dollars to make. The licensing and shipping/tariff cost them more. Then they mark the figures up at least 50% for retail (the industries standard for retail). Just like it used to cost $20 to make Jordans in the 90s and then Nike sold them $100-$200 in the states.
Fun fact, from 2020 to 2021, Hasbro increased their profits by 17.47% ... so then raising the price is completely unjustified
Hasbro's poor distribution of the previous Silk figures is the only reason I bought this 2 pack. I already had a basically identical Dock Ock.
I value your opinion, Shartimus, I was on the fence about this 2 pack. Most likely I'll pick this up because it is a piece of the 60th Anniversary Spider-man collection. The new Silk does look decent enough.
These are too many nitpicks. I just started collecting marvel legends so i would rather get this than spend $200 on the old one from an online seller. I’m still getting this one regardless of the re use of body molds. I don’t have a dock ock and I’ve been waiting for one.

I missed the first one. And the price was about the same for the old one or this 2 pack. Yeah I wish the tentacles were better… but I need a Doc Ock. Mine arrives today.
I'm passing I would rather wait for a deluxe doc ock with better tentacles or a well executed version from a competitive 1:12 scale company.

Thanks for pointing out the lower torso of Silk is the same as the old mold! No one else has noted that yet, and your side-by-side comparison with Shriek highlights it. It's not very noticeable in anything but a straight up standing pose, but the old torso mold makes her body look weirdly long compared to her limbs. They definitely should've just reused the Shriek mold completely, it would've looked much better.
i think the excitement was at least for me and the ones who don't have it yet was for getting a doc ock figure without pay overpriced scalpers fees, as always awesome review my only doubt will be why the Spider-Man Spinneret 2 Pack was filmed just on 720p?? regards from México :)

I already own the fan’s choice Silk and no Doc Ock but I bought this set. The new body and head of Silk are great (also I wouldn’t call it re-paint if it’s on slight new body).
This isn’t my ideal Doctor Octopus, but since I don’t have one and not willing to pay double/triple retail I say this is a good buy for me. I’m still waiting for Hasbro to release my ideal Doc Ock from the Spider-Man TAS version with the slimmer body and body armor.
Hopefully we get the Spider-Man with the Doc Ock mechanical arms on the waist and goggle once that TAS Dr Ock is release. And I’m still praying for Silk’s first costume made from her silk threads out of her finger tips.

I way prefer the rouge chest over the shriek chest I get that the shriek chest matches oldschool comic art but it’s physically impossible for fabric to grip like that just look at cosplay of these characters it’s not possible

That bendywire excuse is so sorry and such a lie. Retro LIZARD and BOTH SCORPIONS have bendywire.
Easy pass for me but this is a good move for Hasbro. Instead of re releasing a figure people have with a new one people want this is two people might have, so it’s a chance to get something they could have missed.
Not the usual for them so hope they keep this up.
It's too bad this set is $80 on Amazon. Not worth that much considering the Spider-Man RYV set is only $55.

Went to browse ebay for Silk, lol might as well buy the two pack at retail for what those fools want for it. And if that’s the case, I’d rather use that money towards another Storm Collectibles figure instead. I’m only interested in the unmasked head sculpt for a future kitbash so it’s an easy pass for me.
I prefer one of the new Doc Ock designs. Hopefully they don't just keep tweaking this figure and rereleasing it over and over.

I don't have a Doc Ock, neither a Silk, so this is a definetly GoGo for me, but even if I did, I wouldn't buy it, but I wouldn't complain about it either since NOT EVERYONE IS A COLLECTOR
Yeah that's true, his complaints are mainly from the perspective of a collector who owns the originals. This is a good way for people to get these figures when they originally missed out. But this should not be this expensive for just repaints, this should be like $35 at most, not almost 60
I like the brighter colours on the new Doc Ock. The hand and head options look great too. The more silvery blue tentacles could be his adamantium ones.
Silk is a definite upgrade. I hadn't really thought about the chest logo being a reason for her having a different torso. Makes sense.
I have the original ock so I'll pass on this. Fingers crossed they re-release this Silk singly.

@@JohnnyBlaze_616 yes because I’m a newcomer to marvel legends and I don’t have a dock ock. I haven’t been collecting marvel legends from Hasbro since it started like most collectors. You have to realize lots of new collectors are in the same predicament and would rather buy the new thing with slight tweaks than drop triple on the price from an online seller for something that came out years ago that can’t be found on the market at stock price anymore and Hasbro knows this which is why they would rather recycle molds and save money than constantly spend on new ones just because their longtime collectors asked them too.
