    I was carrier wing, VF41 aboard uss Nimitz.. nuke carrier has avg. Life of 50 years and gets refuled during half it life. So about 25 years it goes without refueling. ...when it does, a hole is cut from flight deck to reactors to change out fuel rods...that takes about 3 years if not mistaken.

      Hopefully by the next scheduled changes technology and robotics will be so advanced that the time frame is shortened.

    The B-2 Spirit or flying wing stealth bomber was actually an advanced and refined development of the YB49 designed by the Northrop Corporation in the 1940s

    If you want to learn more about carriers, a great video for that is, "Cities at Sea | How Aircraft Carriers Work". Then he talked about multiple Nukes in one missile, one US Submarine (Ohio Class) was built to carry 24 "Trident 2" missiles. 14 separate Nukes per missile. One Missile = 5 megatons TNT. WW2, every bomb, every where, all of it = 5 megatons TNT. Yeah!! The Navy took some missiles out of each sub for Seal Team airlocks and equipment so there might not be but 180 or so missiles on board all US Subs.

    Good catch early on in the video identifying those stealth aircraft as Russian. They are the SU-57 (Felon). These are likely prototype/demonstration aircraft as there are problems with the engines and Russia is having to get certain parts for the engines for this particular plane from China, which reduces its stealth capability. It is estimated that Russia has between 10-15 of these aircrat, and about half of those are truly considered 5th gen stealth. They aren't risking those assets in the current military operation because they are so costly to produce, and there is currently no need to attempt an air superiority campaign (for now). Once the F-16s get delivered to Ukraine, that may change things a bit. Incidentally, if you like the B-2 (Spirit) stealth bomber, it may interest you to know in December 2022 the US unveiled its first 6th generation stealth bomber to the public. It will eventually replace all the strategic bombers and it is called the B-21 Raider.

      Going a little further on the SU-57 Femboi. If you look at the cockpit area you'll see rivets that aren't flush with the body. Also, going back to the engines you notice that you can see the fan blades from the front. Both of these things give the Femboi an RCS equivalent to the F/A-18.

    • @Arcalargo
      @Arcalargo 11 місяців тому

      Also you'll find that the weapons bay on the SU-57 isn't sealed. On the F-22, F-35, and J-20 the weapons bays are sealed and flush with the airframe. On the 57, it's just a regular bomb bay.

    You should also look at the fledgling USSF ( United States Space Force ). Rumor has it that the USSF will deploy a large hypersonic ( + Mach 9 ) orbital Spacecraft that is capable of inserting a large number of "Ground-Pounders" including their armored, amphibious, and other support vehicles anywhere in the World in only a few hours ! You also need to considerUS military small arms ( a particle beam and laser rifle is far along in development ). Then there the Elite US Units ---》 RANGERS, COMMANDOS, SEALS, etc. Lastly, you should look at the BASIC TRAINING all military personnel undergo.

      “ more is known about the surface of the moon than the bottom of our own oceans“
      At the same time they were building SOSUS,
      They were also developing underwater biosphere.(leading to the development of prestressed concrete).
      60 years later: underwater military bases with Weaponized drones does not seem that far-fetched to me.

      The Russians didn't copy the old FA-18 Hornet fighter that was coming into use on carriers in the 80's, they copied the 5th Gen F 22 Raptor Stealth fighter with their own SU 57 fighter design that has matching stealth, 360 degree thrust vectoring maneuverability, and supercruise features but is designated as a multirole fighter. In the new Top Gun Mavrick movie the fighters the US top gun pilots are using are old ass FA-18 Hornets likely because they are easy and cheap to get from the Navy to use for the movie, but the two high tech enemy fighters depicted in that movie are Russian Su 57s. Stop pretending that other nations aren't copying or mirroring our tech, the Chinese have stolen info on and made their own version of the F-35 Lightning 2 joint strike fighter. Ignorance and arrogance about being so tech superior will get our people killed, we need to not underestimate our adversaries.
