Glad to see Piotr in your video, dude deserve some respect because he has inspired few people in Poland. To be honest as teenager i started following "polish ae86" trend created by him and his friends, now im on same ship and im working on my own Polonez from scratch. Car is terrible overall but when you are doing something more than basic maintance can teach you a lot of stuf.
I'm simple guy, i see polish ae86 on juicebox i hit like and then watch. Damn, couple of years earlier i wouldn't say i would see it on this channel ♥️
Neil, this is only the first step documenting motors and people around the world. I like a lot your way to do things and enjoy your content. Keep doing like that, lad!
actually there are, or at least were more 86 inspired poloneze's here in poland. there was one with a full initial d knock off panda livery, another one with panda livery and jdm bits like levin front grille, ssr rims, nardi wheel, bride seats, all those different jdm bits and pieces, some other one that was recently for sale with black bumpers and once again some custom jdm parts, wheels, etc. seeing the polonez as a "polish ae86" has become a pretty popular thing within younger people here, who buy these cheap and turn them into wannabe jdm builds either aimed for street drifting or an interesting show car.
ae86 is not just a specific car its an idea, a style of any old cheap underdog car that outperforms more expensive ones, if the actual ae86 became to expensive it got replaced by other cars with same aura that are cheap, makes perfect sense
@@piotrekserafin5577 It only got expensive in the last 5 years or so and I don't actually believe in those prices. Maybe someone sometimes accidentally sells something to software engineer for a sick price, but I doubt most transactions on Polonez would exceed 1 thousand euros. I know I wouldn't pay much more for a car that just a few years ago was available for less and is objectively technically much worse than MX-5 or BMWs. The only advantage Polonez has is that the body is actually safer than that of BWM E36. because in Polonez engine bay gets squashed but the cabin really doesn't give up, while in E36 even low speed crash may end up with broken A pillar and driver stabbed by it.
Love this video!! Cork lad living in Poland for the last 15 years. I can confirm that there is a shared passion for cars like we do at home! Great to see the polish enthusiasts like the Nightride team get good exposure to your followers! Japanese cars are getting more popular here in Poland the last 5 years or so, but a lot of 80's classics are garaged up in Ireland 🤣
I'd like to see more of Adam's BMW centric knowledge and tips, JDM cars are cool but when you're from a country where you cut up and scrapped these cars in the 2000s/2010s the less common stuff does become more interesting
Seeing this makes me want go go back to Poland! Love seeing like sheds like this. Just a few lads who share the same hobby. A lot like you and the lads in Waterford. Never seen or heard of a Polonez but to see it with an mg engine was cool
@14:14 I have that car in the US. I sent an email asking some things never heard back, three years later. Oh well. It is a wonder of Japan. Still restoring it.
You recently posted an episode of you drifting an E36 in Ireland. but I have a feeling that after meeting the guys in Poland, Drifting will absorb you even more :D
Just like him with the Polenez, I've been trying to convince people that the Volvo 300 series is the swedish 86 😂 It too has similar dimensions, was available with a 2L with up to 116hp (also compatible with the entire Volvo B-engine lineup), and has near 50/50 weight distribution due to its rear mounted gearbox. I've never driven one though 😅
You whas in my city Kraków and speek with Piotrek seen his AE 86 and FSO Polonez "Tomato" my friend Sebastian whas doing 2 swaps in this Car . First with Rover 1.4 16V 103 Hp . Then Sebastian swaped 1.8 Engine from MG ZR 160 HP to This car. Stock Polonez's whas make with 1.4 16V rover engine from 1994-1998 . From 1994-1997 in FSO Polonez Caro/ATU "1.4 GLI 16V Multipoint Injection" then form late 1997 to early 1998 in Lifed FSO Polonez Caro/ATU plus whas caled like VW 1.4 GTI Multipoint injection In Polish slang FSO cars with 16V rover engine we caled "Szesnacha" from 16 Valve . These cars with Rover engines around 2000 were very cheap and were used for street drifting and various events. The entire interior where removed, the rear differential was welded and 103 horses seemed like not much, but considering the weight, it was enough. Now these cars are practically extinct and are very expensive in Poland, and the price, unfortunately, is not adequate to the level of this car. To buy stock Polonez with 1.4 engine not swapped with no rust you must payed aroud 8-15K Polish złotych ... (Prices depend on the additional equipment of the car) When back in the day cars with mileage below 100,000 KM from the first owner in practically like new condition, it was bought for 2K Polish złoty. For reference, the minimum wage in Poland was then 2.5K Polish zlotys and now it is 3.2K Polish zlotys. So, unfortunately, it's hard to buy something nice, especially when you live in Polish conditions where, unfortunately, everything is terribly expensive and wages are average...
jeeesus man , watching your videos reminds me the years i was working in galway. god i miss the green island, those vids just got the same vibe as all the ireland, pure hapiness. cheers
Thanks for all the great content lately Sheehan. I've been watching ye while building my house at 4am for the laughs. Also while wearing my hoodie. Sound sham
Ford made a SVO Pinto Engine 4 Cylinder. We have Midget racing they cut a V8 in half. Either cut out a V4 or a slant 4 from a V8. They use Subaru heads on the V4.
37lbs those are some heavy wheels. The 20x9's cast aluminum wheels I have are bout that, also too heavy. Always prefer to get a light wheel if I can, still not too light the roads here in Michigan are wheel killers.
Now I know where all the OM606s are! They're so expensive here. Then you need to ship out the fuel pump for the upgrades. Like, yeah, it's 600hp and 1000nM but at what cost?
Thanks for the series, thanks to it I started to catching up on your earlier materials. Tho, I need to be “ 🤓 “ - this guy. Poland was never soviet. We unfortunately were in the sphere of soviet influence, but Poland was not a part of Soviet Onion. Marek mentioned Lada is his “childhood” car, but AFAIK he’s from Latvia.
I love how the polish lads figure out ways around things that costs a lot.. like the VW hack is classic
my polacy/ us polish people we are very innovative
Poles can handle everything haha
Happy New Year to everyone ❤
Happy new year Neil. Glad to see your movies from Poland
👍

That adam guy is pure madman so much passion
The Nori Yaro Beans 86 style ms primer on the rear arch is what sealed the deal for me.
great eye for a detail!

This is one of the best episodes you've done. Incredibly stuff, the drifting through the fog was shot so well!
big up from 'pole guy' in UK, enjoying this, seeing Polish enthusiasts from different perspective

polonez is expensive as shit. But you right anyway ig hahaha

never felt more proud to own an MG ZR 160 project car with that k series
Thanks for the effort you put in showing us some culture we would likely never see at home and in your travels. Cheers and happy new year.
Come back to Poland in the summer, there is car meets everywhere
Awesome bit of car content man! Think we all need to see a Juicebox Polonez build soon though😜
Seeing this makes me want go go back to Poland! Love seeing like sheds like this. Just a few lads who share the same hobby. A lot like you and the lads in Waterford. Never seen or heard of a Polonez but to see it with an mg engine was cool
BAAAZZYYYLLLL GWIAZDA xDDD time to get Polonez for trip to Irland now

What a great way to start off the new year 🎉

Dam the Polish Touge was so good, if it wasn’t all BMW’s I would have thought that was in the hills of Japan somewhere!
Seeing a Rover K-Series power plant in a rwd application outside of the standard Caterham/Lotus is amazing. Thing is a beaut
They are Seicento mirrors on the Polonez!
susbscribed right after nightride collab with you. loving you guys
Top Vlog Lad, the Polish lads are strong with the automotive sickness ❤😎💯🔥👊🏻 happy new year to you and all the lads

This polonez is also pretty similar to the vw passat II. Btw it was also sold as a full fledged pickup workhorse.

For some reason I really like the lines. Its a very 80s boxy type hatch.
New-year and I cannae wait to see some colour go on your 86!
Happy new year juicebox
Same to you!

Pomidor AE86, that s how we call that polonez in Poland.
Thanks for the video 😁

k powered is actually incredible
Never say "polish soviet" !
We were never soviet and never will !
I miss the longer intro, that flute gave me life😢
FUNFACT: In Polonez, the rear suspension is from a horse-drawn wagon (from the 19th century). 😆
Piotrek is the cool guy, and crazy about buying rare cars stuff from Japan. Nice to see @PomidorAE86 in @juiceboxforyou episode
I banded a set of steelies for my Volvo here in Canada and I would always get "Your car looks soo good when are you getting some nice wheels?" Lol
Top lads 👌
fucking cool video man.. keep it rollin'! 😃👍👍
Keep um coming
New year starts with Neil and polonez. Great 😎
Happy 2024 Neil

Hi form Poland 👊 i see this channel for the first time but i would like to live a sub for you bro Keep going with that what yo pc do

we love you Adaś
You always have great enthusiasm for other peoples cars and journeys it really shines through in your videos. Keep at it! Happy New Year!
Happy new year, hope the "new year new me" statement is what your 86 said after painting
Hahaha! Lets hope so, keen to drive it this year

HAppy new year, Neill! you should really build an e36 touring!
I’d say it looks more like a Volvo 340, cool car either way
That VW hack for the bmw engine is class, amazing vid
