    The ‘Let It Be’ movie will be out sometime in 2020 on DVD/Blu-ray on it’s 50th Anniversary edition! Peter Jackson will be producing a new documentary about the film!

    Hi Heath I have a 5 dvd set called the long and winding road, it is an unauthorized documentary of the history of the Beatles, and it starts in 1940 and it has interviews with John's sister as well as members of the Quarrymen

    Awesome Beatles collection, man. If you ever see the documentary "The U.S. vs. John Lennon" when you're hunting and it has a good price on it, pick it up. Definitely worth it. I found your channel about a month ago and I've gone back to the beginning and have watched most of your videos. I'm really enjoying the channel. Keep it up!

      Thank you! Believe it or not, I found The U.S. vs John Lennon a few weeks ago at a thrift store for 2 bucks. I haven't watched it yet (the stack of movies to watch just gets higher and higher) but now I can and will whenever I carve out some time for it. I'm glad you're enjoying the channel!

    Nice collection. I never heard about The Rutles, but it sounds fun. Also you made me laugh and I needed that after exhausting process of rearranging my DVD shelves. As for the future collection spotlight maybe vampire or your dc animated movies? And thanks for the sneak peek of room tour :) you really need shelves on that wall.

      Glad I was able to make you laugh! We're just hanging out talking about DVDs and Blu-rays, so why not have some fun with it, right? Vampires and DC Animated movies are great topics for a future collection spotlight (the first suggestion so far, actually), so I'll add them to the X-Men notebook I keep all my video ideas in. Definitely check out The Rutles. Here's a taste. This is my favorite Rutles song from the movie I showed in the video. Cheese and Onions: ua-cam.com/video/ePaHG6g7uFw/v-deo.html

    Also...avoid that Sgt Pepper Bee Gees flick thing! !

      @CerealAtMidnight  6 років тому

      I don't know a ton about Badfinger outside of "Come and Get It". And yes, the Sgt. Pepper movie is ROUGH. Kind of cool for being so weird, though, if I'm being honest.

    • @mistermojo1969
      @mistermojo1969 6 років тому

      Badfinger...truly the dark side of the music business. That's about as bleak as they come. The "Pepper" film? I can see why people don't like it. The Beatles are taken very seriously in music culture (Too seriously? That's a matter of opinion). And this film cranks up the cheese in the biggest way...also the movie was made quickly and cheaply (it looks it!). And the music...took some divisive directions. Personally, as a film...I like it a lot better than "Across the Universe" (I found that one really pretentious for some reason). Musically I would take the Bee Gees performing Beatles songs over about anyone in that film (the vocals are, I don't know, well worked out and IN TUNE). Not sure if they played their own instruments on the actual tracks or not; they might have been session players. And I like the Aerosmith "Come Together" more than the original. George Burns and Steve Martin, well...you know what's coming there. And...let's just say Alice Cooper was probably drinking too much at the time. It's a mess, no brain cells needed, and fun in a really dumb way. Own the blu ray.

    Good video! I love the Beatles. I really got into the Beatles due to the Anthology when it first aired as. I drove my dad crazy asking him Beatles questions, generally to get a "I don't know I was a Stones guy". I have all their albums, but I don't think I have any of their movies. Now that I think about it I was the "Older Teenager" at one point giving out Beatles songs. Do you also have the albums too? Yes you did pronounce "Innes" correctly it's the name of a major street here. It's good hear you're now going to be reviewing products. Between this and Mego contacting you and the increase in subscribers (49%) since I've been a member which was about a month ago it's interesting to see how a youtube channel starts to gain steam. You could almost do a video on that.

    • @CerealAtMidnight
      @CerealAtMidnight  6 років тому +1

      I can't believe your dad was like "I'm a Stones guy." Isn't it funny how we draw lines like that when we're young? I do have all the albums digitally, but I sold off a lot of LPs about ten years ago during a really difficult time. I'm slowly getting the vinyl reissues.
      Isn't it interesting about the channel? There really is no rhyme or reason. I've been working my butt off on the website and the channel for 18 months now, really treating it like it's a job, but it does seem like it's hitting another gear. It's impossible to figure out. I'm making the same kind of content I was making when I first started the channel. I do think being consistent and building a library of videos has helped because it's more chances for people to discover the channel. I also try to keep the content varied enough that I don't get bored and hopefully you guys don't either. And I try really hard to be friendly, kind, and engaging. I treat every video as if we're friends just chilling out and shooting the breeze, because that's essentially what's happening, and I hope that makes people feel welcome. But really, I think it's just a lot of hard work and a some luck.

    • @justmason7672
      @justmason7672 6 років тому

      I had about half on vinyl but gave them away to a friend (that was the cheapest way to get them in the 90s) I think your varied approach is working. The epics and omnibus is what I first watched thinking "who is this guy?" Then a week late I stumbled on your Spider-Man stories and that got me hooked, now I'm along for the ride. I'd say your 5 tips to collecting is your best all around video. After I rip the London years onto my computer I'm giving the CDS to my dad as a surprise.

      It's interesting that the comics brought you in, because I feel like my comic book videos under-perform (except for the Epic Collection video, which is a big one). Either way, I'm glad to have you aboard, man. I appreciate you being involved and sharing your thoughts and comments.

    Another great video man, just discovered your channel today... Love it!!
    I saw at the end there that you have a nice WWE DVD collection and was thinking maybe you could do a video showing off your WWE/Wrestling related collection and also talk about your wrestling fandom nowadays vs in the past , thoughts of the industry in general in this day and age and also if you still collect WWE DVD's and if so, what do you get?
    I know that a lot of people still collect them, and to an extent I can understand getting the various compilations, but the PPV's I just can't fathom why anybody would buy them when all this stuff is available on the network, and unlike Netflix etc will always be available as there are no licensing issues involved.
    I used to collect all the PPV's on DVD and had pretty much a complete collection, but consider myself lucky as I cashed in on them shortly after the network was announced and was still able to make some $$ on them. I really can't see that stuff being worth anything in the age of the WWE Network.
    So yeah, keep up the great work, and hope you'll consider making a wrestling related video.

    • @CerealAtMidnight
      @CerealAtMidnight  6 років тому

      Welcome to the channel! I'll do a WWE collection video at some point, and I do still try to follow it all, but I don't have the network anymore, which is one of the reasons I kept my DVDs. The WWE Network will not always exist. We assume this stuff will be around forever, but it won't. Licensing agreements are constantly changing, and McMahon has been open about the prospect of selling the company at some point as he gets older. Furthermore, who is to say that all those PPV shows will exist as they do now? When Benoit did what he did, it meant a lot of his matches got put in a vault. I think some of them have been quietly made available again, but not all of them. Chris Jericho talks about how his favorite match is a Benoit match that no one can ever see because of what happened. Finally, even if the WWE Network does stick around for a few more years, I won't always have it. I got tired of paying ten dollars a month for a product that I wasn't enjoying anymore and stories that were going nowhere. Whenever I get that itch to watch old stuff (which is what I really enjoy) like some Mid South or old WCW from the '80s, sometimes I renew my subscription for a month or two. But I like having those DVDs and all those PPVs in my own archive so that I can watch them whenever I want to without having to pay anyone for them. One of the big themes on my channel is promoting ownership over what you enjoy. Streaming is now ownership, it's borrowing. We all got a reminder of this last week when iTunes removed some movies from their service and the people who had "purchased" them were outraged because they thought they'd always be there. The only way to make sure you will always have access to the things you are interested in is by owning them, so that's a long-winded explanation of why I have a butt-ton of rasslin' DVDs!

    • @ratedRron
      @ratedRron 6 років тому

      I hear you on a lot of what you say, but whatever happens, I do believe the WWE Network is here to stay pretty much forever and the complete PPV library will always be a main selling point next to the monthly PPV's.
      Either way, looking forward to your Wrestling themed video if you decide to make one. Have a great day man!

    • @CerealAtMidnight
      @CerealAtMidnight  6 років тому

      Are you currently following the WWE? I'm in a break period. Too much Roman Reigns/Brock Lesnar and feuds that don't go anywhere.

    • @ratedRron
      @ratedRron 6 років тому

      Currently I only watch the PPV's to keep kinda up to date on what's going on and sometimes even that is a chore but other than NXT I'm completely done with weekly WWE TV.
      Can't stand the 3 hour Raw's, meaningless formula matches, rinse-repeat storylines, uninspired promos, shill lifeless commentary etc. It's just not worth my time anymore. At all. Wish it was better, but it's not and I don't see it getting any better in the next few years at least.
      I do however follow pretty much all the other promotions (Impact, ROH, MLW, Lucha Underground and starting up with New Japan as well) and frequent tons of indie shows in the NY area.
      100% of the time, the wrestling is more innovative, much more exciting, offers more variety and simply much better in all other promotions and the storytelling isn't as formula as WWE.
      Sad state of affairs that the biggest, most successful wrestling company in the world, also puts out the worst wrestling product in the world week in and week out.

    • @CerealAtMidnight
      @CerealAtMidnight  6 років тому +1

      I agree completely. I guess it's because this is what happens when one guy buys up all the territories and then sits at the top of the mountain for decades. There's no reason for the product to be any better because it doesn't need to be. From an actual wrestling standpoint, it bothers me that they don't protect their talent or their characters anymore. Back in the day, Hogan or Flair or Savage didn't wrestle once or twice a week on TV. When you saw them, it was a big deal. They were protected. There were lead ups to stories that lasted months. Even though Steve Austin was always on Raw, he wasn't always having a MATCH on Raw. Now the booking decisions make no sense at all. The AJ Styles/Nakamura feud was the last straw for me. Both of those guys were at the top of their game, and yet that feud made no sense, and they just ended up trading crotch chops. Two of the best wrestlers in the world crotch chopping each other? No thanks.

    I just can't watch a hard days night. I find the movie dry and boring. I liked Help. Especially when they perform you've got to hide your love away! Yellow submarine is fun to watch and the Elenore Rigby segment is fantastic with the 3d view. The true gold is the anthology dvds. And the beatles 1 blu ray is amazing. Magical Mystery Tour is a disaster and should have never been made. Soundtrack amazing, movie is horrendous!!! These are my opinions and I'm sticking to them! Also do yourself a favor and pick up the Anthology book which is very well done!!!!
