I have never been asked that but to get a feel for the person asking ,I ask 2 questions 1. If they say I don't buy into the resurrection, I say ''what do you mean by that. and 2 how did you come to that conclusion . After the first question they will respond by saying something that they most likely heard from another source. question 2 can make them uneasy. They may get angry, or not answer or walk away. question 2 makes them say something in responding. or they may put it back on you and ask those questions. he or she has open the door to hear how I come to that conclusion. You can use that when they ask any question. The idea is to open a conversation . After all it's thing to defend what they believe.
Great approach! Greg Koukl’s Columbo Tactic can help you gather valuable intel so you know to proceed in a conversation. Thanks for watching and sharing this!
@@josevalverde7431 Paul is a great person to talk about because of his persecution of the Resurrection message and his encounter with the risen Jesus just 2 years after the crucifixion. This shows that the resurrection story was not something that was invented 60 years later (like some people try to say) or emerged organically over decades. Thanks for watching and letting me know.
Absolutely loved this quick message - it equipped me as I get ready to teach some of these truths to my kids Sunday school this Sunday!! We do have such a loving hope!!!
This is an important question as part as an apologetic conversation. It is a real and truthful way to acknowledge how even James was skeptical and it helps others who are skeptical feel free to be able to explore the truth and not feel shame about being skeptical
God is big enough to handle our doubts and questions. Thomas is a good example of God graciously giving him the evidence he needed to believe. Thanks for watching!
Sometimes we don't even know that the answers to other people's questions is right under our noses! LOL! It definitely takes a lot to have someone die for such a crazy testimony of being a witness to Christ being crucified, being in the grave three days, and then alive again and having spoken with many and even touched! And I love how you have found a way to orient yourself when you feel down. It's a skill learned for sure!
We must take into account the resurrection was not believed by Jesus' own brothers. And his own disciples. And Jesus entrusted the truth of his resurrection to women, who were not believed as much. Fascinating stuff!
