Oh hooked in by the hard sell for part 2 :) Excellent video Ryan. Definitely worth the price if I can't figure out part 2 myself. Oh I see Part 2 is up.. Cheers!
Interestingly enough, on my end, I'm trying to do this but on a 2D scale. I know that the way things have been set up, my character is moving on Y instead of X. And the Forward Vector print SHOWS that I'm moving on Y, but for some reason, the final push is still happening on X.
Thanks for the video! My character together with the pushed object flies away, everything seems to work, but it just flies away. Can you please tell me what this problem may be related to?
At the end of this tutorial we should be able to move the cube forever or just 100 units and then get blocked? mine gets blocked after timeline terminated his execution
putting all the logic in the pushable object looks a little bit weird. Shouldn't it be put in the player making the cube attached to the player and not the other way? Although it makes sense because of what you say this way you can make heavier or lighter blocks, but I think u can maintain that but putting the logic of pushing in the character.
Every video in this series has the question where those animations are from but zero answers, if you put them behind a paywall please just mention this somewhere?
I dont know how but it made my floor invisible haha my math must be wrong somewhere... Edit: Missed out on adding CurrentLocation to the Position*PushDirection*TravelDistance which was causing the floor to disappear Now the problem is that the object only goes in one direction
It takes time to do this.... Quickest way is purchase it or watch whole video. UE projects takes me five to seven hours or weeks. Stress relief, work out, breathing, relaxation, Pray. UE game crashes and sometime the code don't work.
You're a legend in the tutorial space
