I wouldn't recommend having a stove on top of a floor for obvious reasons although if you did make sure you have a good size heat resistant mat enough to reduce risk of embers falling out the front on to floor 👍
I plan to hot tent next year. Winter for me is months away and that's when I plan to do it. These videos help me out with the need to know things. Thanks for sharing mate.
My last goodbye.. Now is the time i have to say goodbye. My health has taken the turn for the worst. Over the many years it has been you i have turned to for inspiration. I have learned many things from you. My years now maybe numbered but my memories of you shall remain. From your dog and from you there is and shall always be a certain love. If you ever come my way it will be an honour to meet you and have a coffee. Love always Mick... Chef-on-the-wild-side....... X
I'm so sorry to hear this mick. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Life is sadly so short but I hope you have many good memories and I'm honored to be counted amongst them. May you forever be free and wild!
Beavercraft do make some good blades…I use their spoon carving knife and it’s way above the Mora but obviously below the high end versions available..but not by much. Heard good things about their hatchets but can’t justify buying another axe!😢……but I may have to get one of those bushcraft knives from Santa 🤔 Congrats on having your own hot tent setup…you’ll never look back.
Another vote for Beavercraft! And agree it's way better than a mora, they have a place but they're more a beginners knife. Wouldn't mind one of their hatchets too!
Cat is as always all over it like white on rice!!!! That tent looked well comfortable, that hot tent stove worked a treat (the smoke alarm was the trick of a seasoned professional Cat, not just looks but brains lads!! I know you said you got it from another lad, but most if not, all information is plagiarized at some point) the meal looked absolutely delicious & as an outdoors man & avid knife user & enthusiast/designer/builder for a relatively cheaper knife, it seemed to be doing the business, but hey that's a scandi grind for you!! Take care Cat & as always thank you. Ps, those mushrooms looked delicious, I'll have to cook them up one night soon & try them for myself.
Haha cheers and yes good point about the info! Defo try the mushrooms, little bit of wholegrain mustard in the bottom then grated cheese, cook until the cheese is melted - thank me later they are DELICIOUS!
Good evening Cat. Well done steak? I think that is a cardinal sin. At the least, it is 24 hour in the stocks for you. Excellent knife info for everyone to know. I am not a fan of teepee style tents, but check out the pomoly chalet 70 pro hot tent. Lots of usable room. Stay safe and have fun.
I agree but you try cooking on a trangia and a wood burning stove lol! I'm not keen on the chalet style, I prefer the space in a tipi but we're all different! The knife is quality 👍
Great tipi tent that cat omg that steak it was torture watching you dish that up buying one tmz love the channel keep it up .I have a bps knife with a firesteel on it that's also made in ukraine great bit of kit
I love hot tent camping, awesome to watch falling asleep, best thing waking up to a warm tent too. Top tip with your hot tent. Ikea bag for your firewood. Easy to carry and keeps wood tidy in the tent. Use some ash from your firewood on the glass with a cloth and a little bit of water. Comes up as new. Keep em coming 🤙
Good to see a proper hot tent set up .well explained great video for beginners love the channel 👍

Thanks glad you enjoyed! Yh I know about the ash trick, works a treat - I use newspaper instead of cloth 👍 not bad idea tho re IKEA bag cheers 😊
@ I’ve never tried newspapers ( don’t have them 😂)
A folded up ikea bag in your stove bag is a game changer
@BurtReynoldstash it's an old school window cleaning trick. I do it at home too - no streaks 👍
