I got back home to Scotland from Norway earlier today and still haven't sobered up, but I have to say that the Norwegians were fantastic, both before and after the game. You made us feel very welcome and there was never a hint of any trouble breaking out between the fans. I hope you can make it to Scotland for the return fixture as I can guarantee that you'll be made to feel very welcome in Scotland, regardless of the outcome of the game.

I've travelled to many countries to watch Scotland play football, and your reaction is similar to to what we've had from many other countries.
Basically, we go to have a party and enjoy ourselves and any locals who want to get involved in the party are more than welcome. If we lose the game, we still enjoy the party. If we win, the party goes to another level.

@thejourneydays maybe Sam North who does these types of videos from the lowest of tiers to the top in Scotland his Channel is called Footy Adventures. Maybe he and you can do a kind of collaboration regarding the Hampden fixture. There would never be any trouble between our fans we are very much like. My ancestors up in Caithness done lots of trade with Norway and Denmark esp when their were Viking settlements there.

One thing I love about this video is that it showed Scots and Norwegians sat together, celebrated and applauded together, shook hands after all three goals
It would be very easy for Scots to overreact to Haaland’s dive, or Norwegians react to losing two very late goals but both sets of fans were ambassadors for their respective nations

The two scots in front of us, befriended almost everyone around them. And gave eachother a few friendly teases when something happened on the pitch, it was a lovely game of Football both on and off the pitch for both fans ⚽️

The atmosphere was fantastic. As a Scot we have thrown away games and it looked like this might have been one of those days but the comeback was something else.
Norway will be hurting but they clearly have talented players. They might not make the Euros but if they can get some talented youth players into their weaker positions like defense, I won't be shocked to see them in the World Cup.
I also just realised the fans were mixed and there was no fist fights? Well I am shocked.
Yes the Norwegian Scottish fans were pretty mixed, taunted eachother at times when something happen in the game but it was all fun n games 😁

Scotsman here. Thought Norway were probably the better side for most of the game, but feel justice was done after Haaland threw himself to the ground for the penalty. We have a really good record against Norway in competitions. Don't know why. Maybe revenge for all those Viking raids. 😂 Great video though mate. Nice to see the Scotland and Norway fans mixing together and having fun. You wouldn't get that with our Southern neighbours...
Norway can either beat teams like germany and Spain or loose. Dont know what to expect from these international games haha 😂
@@TheJourneyDays Yeah. Scotland are usually very similar, in that we'll beat a team like Spain one week, then lose to the Faroe Islands the following week... But this Euro qualifying campaign has started well. Hopefully we can beat the trend.

can i just say i have only just discovered this video....guys the Norwegians are fucking legends i spent 3 nights in Norway and i still cannot remember half of what i did after the match but i really got to say a very special thanks to Ida and Jonas for looking after me .... your hospitality, to a stranger was above and beyond friendship....i will come definitely back hopefully through my team Rangers or Scotland again or even just to see you guys again...hope you make the return game in Glasgow i will see you there
First Scotland goal was a combination of bad defending and determination by Dykes, second Scotland was really well worked
The second goal was also horrifically defended. McLean had 5 metres of space in every direction inside the box

Haaland penalty wasn't a penalty... but the one before was a penalty... I think the ref had to make up for his error.

Top video and seemed like a good game between Norway v Scotland and expect it to be tough in Scotland also when our Countrys meet again . All the best to Norway apart from when playing Scotland of course 🙂
Norway are currently starting to resemble the Welsh side that has just run it's course, in that Norway possess two world class players in Odegaard and Haarland, where-by Wales had Ramsey and Bale, and the Welsh engineered a system, where-by the other Welsh players acted as workers bees for their more skillful team mates, culminating in a Euro semi final spot in 2016.
Perhaps Norway can be better than that, but it will be down to the Norwegian coaching staff to get the best out of their most gifted new assets.
I agree, the Norwegian fans wants the current manager gone, because he use those tactics who involves Ødegaard and Haaland in almost every attack. We got some hidden gems, but those gems are mostly benched because of the manager is scared to try new tactics without Haaland and Ødegaard.

I live on England south coast but believe You northerners must keep together because I get annoyed when Faeroe played Scotland it wasn’t once mentioned in the context of it being a local Derby - at just 200 land miles separating these locations it’s not much farther to Wales . Thanks for mastering the language too. All British take this for granted.
I try to do english in all my videos the best i can. I have not heard about Scotland vs Faroe as a Derby before you mentioned it now. English is almost mandatory in schools here, but i felt i learned more by watching movies and video games 😊

Scotland would have brought at least 15 thousand fans if Norway gave us a half decent allocation. Its a shame it was a small stadium with bare minimum away fans tickets
It was ALOT of empty seats, with atleast a 5000 capacity left, but those seats were given to sponsors etc who never showed up to the game… i was pissed off, because i met a lot of scottish fans outside the stadium who were looking for tickets. Its a shame really..

I'm a Scot and used to work in Norway, Bergen, I had my eyes opened by the Norwegians. Our standard of living is 3rd world compared to yours. You country is so advanced, wealthy and Independent. Loved the Norwegians, brilliant people and a beautiful country

Thank you! I have not been to Scotland yet, so i can’t say something about that yet, but the people i have met from Scotland is very kind and enjoyable. Norwegians can be a little awkward socially at times because we like to stick to ourself, but the scots is very different in that aspect, i wish Norwegians were more like that in some ways 😁
@@TheJourneyDays The people of Bergen were very friendly to me, and I made some good friends. The price of the beers was not good 🤥 But i took trips on the Flam Bassa (spelling) The railway up through the mountains and back down the fjords. It is one of the best places in the world

Norway were the better team and didn't deserve to lose even if the penalty was soft. Scotland are going to Germany next year for the Euros. Spain, Norway and Georgia are now fighting for the other qualification place.

The only reason i dont think the first one was a penalty, is because the foul started outside the box .
We have a saying in Scotland 🏴 never ever give up, Spain is not as good as they used to be and is beatable just attack them from the off they won't like that they like to control the game stifle their midfield and you will beat them, and remember they won't have a Haaland good luck you can still do it.

Scottish lad here, thank you for the kind words, it's likewise about Norwegian fans they are brilliant, I think Scotland has its values very much aligned with Scandinavian countries than we do compared with say England. It's a pity there was not a Scandaniavian/Scottish/Irish superleague that could had been introduced, it would benefit all grass roots levels in these countries.
