I knew someone like Tarzaned. Was part of a friend group but I began to feel uneasy around them. They like to gaslight people. In game and out of game. It is not easy to cut things off with friends but given how I didn't know them that long nor that well, I was able to do it with ease. They said shit like, "You are here because of me. You have [private statement] because of me." while true I still did not approve of their behaviour and that statement really severed the last bit of friendship I had with them. Seeing it happen to someone else just makes my heart ache. What's even worse, Dante's friend said something SO detrimental to a person's life. Especially with the circumstances in America right now. I hope Dantes and Laura can be safe and happy.
First of all, none of this should have ever gone public. These are personal matters, which the two sides should have resolved themselves. Second of all, I feel terribly sorry for Laura, who had a tiny part in the whole situation, yet suffered the most. Now that I have cleared this, I feel like we will never know the whole truth about the situation. I just cannot stop thinking about his reaction on stream - the way his outrage is typically for attention and for the views, yet he reacts the same way to something so serious. It just doesn`t seem legitimate to me... It may be because of my prejudice towards Dantes, but "History is written by the winners". A lot of people were on Tarzaned`s side at the beginning. He lost his credibility by sharing something so personal, which is honestly inhumane. Of course no one would believe him afterwards. Both Dantes and Tarzaned knew it. That is the exact reason why Tarzaned decided to go offline and Dantes decided to step up and tell everyone his side of the story. The story, which now everyone believed was the whole truth. Defamation is for when you lie about someone in an attempt to change how other people view them. Just revealing “private information” is sadly just an example of “be careful who you trust with sensitive information.” So the recourse is… nothing. It’s really sad but information revealed in confidence has no legal protection.
Hate to be that guy, but defamation wouldn’t stand here. Defamation only works in cases where the information spread is provably false. They could go after him for damages regarding what he said about Dantes’s character regarding the situation, but Laura *did* get an abortion. I knew someone like Tarzaned. Was part of a friend group but I began to feel uneasy around them. They like to gaslight people. In game and out of game.
It is not easy to cut things off with friends but given how I didn't know them that long nor that well, I was able to do it with ease. They said shit like, "You are here because of me. You have [private statement] because of me." while true I still did not approve of their behaviour and that statement really severed the last bit of friendship I had with them.
Seeing it happen to someone else just makes my heart ache. What's even worse, Dante's friend said something SO detrimental to a person's life. Especially with the circumstances in America right now. I hope Dantes and Laura can be safe and happy.
First of all, none of this should have ever gone public. These are personal matters, which the two sides should have resolved themselves.
Second of all, I feel terribly sorry for Laura, who had a tiny part in the whole situation, yet suffered the most.
Now that I have cleared this, I feel like we will never know the whole truth about the situation. I just cannot stop thinking about his reaction on stream - the way his outrage is typically for attention and for the views, yet he reacts the same way to something so serious. It just doesn`t seem legitimate to me... It may be because of my prejudice towards Dantes, but "History is written by the winners". A lot of people were on Tarzaned`s side at the beginning. He lost his credibility by sharing something so personal, which is honestly inhumane. Of course no one would believe him afterwards. Both Dantes and Tarzaned knew it. That is the exact reason why Tarzaned decided to go offline and Dantes decided to step up and tell everyone his side of the story. The story, which now everyone believed was the whole truth. Even the people who believed Tarzaned before the "nuke".
I just cannot take any side at the moment except Laura`s, since she has nothing to win out of the whole situation. I just hope she finds the strength to move on and stay strong.
I was also happy to hear that Dantes had started going to therapy. I am sure this will help him improve both his mental state and his life as a whole. I am sincerely looking forward to his reformed human being arc.
Overall, I hope both sides are able to move on.

Sadly, Tarzaned has always been like this. In the past, he sent a death threat posing as someone else to destroy another streamer's relationship with a friend. It was also when the friend was going through depression and some shit. This dude needs serious therapy. He hasn't changed a bit. I feel bad for Laura. Yes, she chose the abortion. I may not agree with that choice, but it was hers to make. There are ramifications to that and it's life altering. I know this because my ex fiancé chose to have one when I was at work, and didn't know she was going having one. She kept the whole plan a secret from me. The realization that my little girl was gone broke the relationship. So at least even after dealing with something so tragic and them still being together. Shows how much they really did love each other. I know they may be on break. I just pray they both find happiness, and move on past this.

I have been in a situation where the friendship didn't workout with the gf of my bf and I just had to distance myself from him because I couldn't stand being around her , and ironically I was right as she dropped my friend for another in less than a year so I was right not to like her even do everyone else loved her and thought she was nice it only took 1 interaction between me and her for me to feel something was off.
So at the end off the day Tarzaned f up but Dantes and Laura aren't innocent either.
As soon as the friendship between Laura and Tarzaned broke it was over for Tarzaned and Dantes aswell thats just how friendship work when relationships are involved everyone as to be friends or no one is friends.
