History of Cornwall Iron Furnace

This Ephrata Cloister Virtual Academy from September 9, 2021 shares the story of the Cornwall Iron Furnace in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania is one of the best preserved cold blast iron furnaces in the Americas. The Cornwall Iron Furnace was supplied by one of the largest iron ore deposits in the country. Cornwall Iron Furnace helped to shape the history of this region and was one of the most important sites in the early history of the iron industry. In this video, Mike Emery, Historic Site Administrator at Cornwall Iron Furnace will discuss the history of the furnace as well as give a virtual tour of the structure.
