so great how in this game no matter when you dodge or block you still get hit 99% of the time
Block in punisher mode it even give u a counter attack and fill ur ATB
Happens to me too idk if I’m supposed to hold in block or my timing is off but it’s stupid
I was stuck in this pretty long time, but thanks to your video i learnt new strategy to beat it! I was only 30 lvl tho :D this was pretty painful ngl
I used Aerith with fire materia earrings, timeless rod, and arcane ward. Firaga plus some lucky rng and I finally got it after many tries 😮💨
This fight is sheer incompetent game design

Hey boys and girls i just finished the 2 dogs aswell for anyone still having trouble i used :
Rune blade
Enhanced abyssal bangle
Fire materia earrings / wich gives u firaga highest fire spell
Then i had fire materia on wich gave me fira and linked it with magnify materia so i could hit both of them when i needed to wich dealth pretty solid damage
I also had enemy skill materia on 4 star and lvl boost materia
For the bangle i had first strike materia 2 star so i had some atb right of the start and atb boost materia 2 star so i can use l1 and r1 to get a atb boost cause u need to spam the fire moves on em
And some hp up materia 3 star so hp increase of 20 procent it helps keeping u on ur legs cause they do some crazy ass damage aswell
Weapon skill magic and just basic attack power buffs by 20
Also want to note i was lvl 34 at the time.
Now what i did was i went in and slashed 1 up until the atb bar was max then i casted firaga on 1 of em in the hope if ur lucky it hits both of em cause of the wide range on it also firaga was crazy good cause i didnt get interupted so my atb didnt go to waste when i used it when they did attack me with fira it was a diff story then just proceed to fill up the atb bar by slashing at em again and again also if u see a opening press l1 and r1 now for the atb boost then cast firage again if lucky it will hit both again and they dead u could also choose here to use fira and if it hits it will hit both of them cause of the magnify materia but if u choose firaga again cast it at 1 with the most damage done to it will die from that attack by now ur focus will be on 1 of em this one should have some damage to it done allready now if ur hp is a bit low u can u have use the soothing breeze ability wich will send u open but will heal more then damage u will get in so u get some hp back after try to quickly slash ur way up to the other one and again spam fire attacks at it it will stagger if im right it happened to mine if u can stagger it make sure u spam attacks at it to fill up ur atb bar and try cast firaga again of fira at it if ur summon is here make sure u brought ifrit and use him to do some extra damage but just focus on spamming the fire moves and u will get the job done with the setup wich i had on aswell as mentioned above.
I hope this will help some people lots of info but a pretty hard mission so all help is welcome i assume good luck out there boys and girls !.
Similar to what I did but I used Fire materia linked with Elemental Materia so my attacks were fire based. Takes a decent amount of life off per hit, due to their weakness.

The sleep materia really helped focus on one enemy at a time. Do recommend and to have an fire materia linked with an elemental materia to build the staggering
Defeated this challenge in 2 minutes 5 seconds with Yuffie. Below is my setup and tips:
Lv. 47
Materias:
*Steal (Max)
HP Up (3 Stars),
*Precision Defence (2 stars),
*Chakra (Max)
*Skill Master (Max)
*Binding
Cleansing (Max)
*regrettably forgot but surprisingly survived without] FIRST STRIKE [MAX] & Steadfast Block [MAX}
Titan
Weapon: Crescent Sickle
Armor: Enhanced Garm Bangle
*Accessory: Speed Demon Keychain
Abilities used:
*Attack via thrown Shuriken
*Doppleganger
*Art of War
*What I consider is essential to this victory. Everything else helped but perhaps not as important
Long story short, I cast sleep immediately on one of the Test 0 beasts. Immediately following that, threw my shuriken at the other and continued attacking that way to maintain a safe-and-offensive distance. Once ATB stacks up, I used Doppleganger to increase further damage. About 1/3 of the way, I find my ATB stacking considerably fast to the point I was able to use Mug over and over, where each ability action would grant me enough ATB to basically do it relentlessly.
I did find myself having to occasionally do perfect blocks while Chakra-ing myself between damages with ease, if not only to cast sleep on the other beast once he shook it off. Keep in mind this seems to only work twice. After the second cast, it seems to become immune. But thankfully, I did not go beyond the need of casting 3 anyway because by then, I eliminated the first beast due to eventual stagger and 2 Art of Wars. Once that was taken care of, it was smooth sailing just handling the one left over. Had enough time to even summon Titan and cast myself "Resist" just in case. Did all this without even having to use anything elemental based, though it would have helped with Fire ninjitsu.
Honestly, I ditched this challenge the first time I was at Corel. Came back to it after Chapter 10 and out of the whim, just decided to try with Yuffie, not even changing my default set up for her.

This is the way. Sleep 1. Punishment mode block the other when they're charging. Generates crazy AKB and staggers after 3-4 successful blocks.
@@ilerion I didn’t use sleep I just chose one and went to town on him kept guarding next thing I know one died , and the fight went easy .
Is there any vendor or chadley location that has the sleep materia? I think i sold it a while ago and now i can't find another one
For those still having trouble; I suggest waiting till you have Yuffie in your party and having to do it towards a late level. Having her fire ninjutsu & sleep is goated.
Blindside and brumal form are also useful here

How do you start throwing those waves off your sword ??? Thats the only thing that i need help beating them
How is your blade throwing sonic waves? I'm so confused. I have that blade and plasma discharge early on but my blade does not throw sonic waves. Is that some kind of new materia? Also thanks for this vid. Great help!

@@richavila4417 finally found out, apparently you have to get the 'hellfire' upgrade in clouds folio. I tested it but it didnt work but apparently its supposed to according to some other guy?
Sonic waves is literally just dodging+mash attack

Hey any idea why i cant talk to guy at beast battlegrounds anymore. Have finished game going back through on hardmode an also to get prison tourney item for johnnys treasure item trophy. I never completed last but cant initiate the chat to get into the different battles screen.....
Do yourselves a favour, dont attempt this at first opportunity. Complete the Chocobo race, then you'll get your party back. Go in as Yuffie with fire element and sleep for the easy win
How do you already have binding materia?

This is absolutely the stupidest fight in the game so far. The fact that you have to employ such cheap tactics just to get an edge is ridiculous. This isn't strategy. It's just cheesing it to make it. Throat Clamp, a Whip that tracks better than Braver does with more range, Thunder which is undodgeable, and the fact that they literally BOUNCE YOU AROUND LIKE A VOLLEYBALL IF THEY SO MUCH AS RUN AROUND.
