Have you ever tried surviving 100 degrees Celsius? For reference, the Sahara desert can reach 47 degrees Celsius (117 degrees Fahrenheit), which is already unpleasantly hot, and it's slightly under half of the way to 100 degrees Celsius.
It would take several minutes for you to die, but it would still happen, as your skin blisters and the proteins in your blood slowly clot from the heat.
He was talking about how Fahrenheit is better than Celsius then said how 100ﾟ isn't that hot, referring to Fahrenheit Not Celsius

No blitz you cannot survive at 100°C. You would cooked at that temperature. Water boils at 100°C.
Edit after 2 years+ since the original message: Yes I know I made a grammar mistake, I meant to say you would get cooked at that temperature, it was 11:30 and my bedtime was 11 back then and I was very sleepy. @@yamato3870 well,we need our bodies to be a certain temperature,even if it isn't freezing you can die if you loose too much heat,the lower the ambient temperature the easier it is to die from loosing heat, that's why you need to wear thick clothes when you go somewhere cold,the clothes help you retain heat.
@@yamato3870 true. Blood is 70% water so it has different boiling and freezing point but nevertheless you will die on mount Everest if u don't have any clothes on to heat you up. It takes time for fluids to freeze so you can train your body and make the time taken for freezing longer but it's inevitable unless you mutate and adapt to it somehow.
blitz you should recycle some of your old machines that now produce negligible terraformation or power, like the nuclear reactor T1s and replace them with the upgraded versions

I have to say, I think if Blitz was raised with the units of Celsius, he'd probably think Fahrenheit makes no sense. But since he was raised with Fahrenheit (as far as I can tell anyway, I don't actually know), Fahrenheit makes more sense. I definitely agree that Metric system is better for measurements, though. I don't want to have to remember that there are 5,280 feet in a mile (I had to look up feet in a mile) when I can just remember that there's 1,000 meters in a kilometer.

The only thing Imperial distance has going for it is that there aren’t really a lot of conversions…
Metric is far more sensible, and I say that as someone who grew up with it/continues to use it.
you may want to move all those flowers from inside to outside.. in the flower spreaders.. you get WAY more o2 that way.. and maybe some biomass.. have not played in a few weeks. get close enough to see the numbers/letters on the flower spreader and it will show you big numbers.
the rockets give 1000% (multiply by 10) per rocket to your base stats not the total stats permanently to all currently and future built terrorformation structures (drills, heaters, ect.) this means any drill built after sending up a rocket that gives a bonus to pressure will also get that bonus.
you do not multiply every rocket by 10, the next will be double the total amount of first so 1000x2=2000 and the next less then that and so on.
@@Jakuri93 agreed which is why i put multiply by 10 in brackets meaning that you multiply the base stats by 10 per rocket. the same thing you are saying.

As someone who used Celsius his whole life, I cannot wrap my head around Fahrenheit. Both scales are arbitrary - per definition -, but F always seemed to make much less sense to me. The circumstances of 0 and 100 Degrees Celsius are easily replicable: the freezing and boiling point of water, respectively. For Fahrenheit 0 is the coldest temperature measured on Earth at that point in time - we have measured much lower naturally occurring temperatures since - and 100 is the average human body temperature - which can vary several degrees even in a healthy person.
If you want to get scientific, the most sensible temperature scale is Kelvin. 0 Kelvin by definition is absolute zero, the point at which all molecular movement stops. It's just a bit unwieldy for daily use: 0 degrees Celsius is about 273 Kelvin.
Celsius is the correct way to measure temperature, it’s basically the same as kelvin but it doesn’t start at absolute zero, Fahrenheit is just confusing, why 32° for freezing and 212° for boiling, they just seem random numbers
The average human body temp is 98.6 actually. And any variance over a degree is not normal and most likely means there is something going on
I was coming here to mention freezing point! Makes much more sense it being at 0! 0 freezing and 100 boiling just keeps thing so much simpler.

Fahrenheit is designed for day to day use. The values of 32 and 212 are set according to a 180 degree difference, half of a circle, to make the difference more pronounced. This is so people can better gauge how hot it is outside. A temperature between 0-32 F is cold, but not dangerously so. Below 0 F the danger rapidly increases. Over 100 F the risk of heatstroke exponentially rises. Fahrenheit was designed so people can judge their surroundings without thinking in decimal. Fahrenheit is not really supposed to be used for scientific calculations, which is why metric exists. USCS units were based off of their use to the general populous (horsepower being the amount a horse could move over a time, feet as the size of an average foot (12 in), miles relating to acres), but SI was set up for scientific use. SI is set in a decimal system so physicists and engineers can do math faster. Both systems were created and ratified at about the same time, but their use was determined by what country controlled what. In short, both systems have their advantages depending on what work you have to do. I use both F and C in my day to day life. F to understand how to dress and C for mechanical calculations.
The biodomes are nice,, but the t2 flower spreaders are better for oxygen production once you get the golden seeds in them. They have slightly higher oxygen output, take fewer resources to build, and require less energy.

Celsius makes so much more sense, mainly because the boiling and freezing points are so much simpler and easier to remember. 0 for freezing and 100 for boiling. 32 and 212 make no sense and seem like random numbers.
Just to clarify, 100ºC (212ºF) is when water evaporates and you would die, but even if 0ºC (32ºF) is when water freezes you still survive, like I’ve been on -5ºC (23ºF). (Formula is : (_ºCx9/5)+32=_ºF)
On earth: “oh no, global warming”
Blitz in this game: “I need more heaters to heat the planet up”
To be fair, though, all that stuff and he's still in the micro-Kelvin scale, so it'd be veeeeeeery long for it to actually change anything significantly.

I started building biodomes around the map. They work as oxygen stops and look cool.
They are pretty, yes, and T2-s produce tree bark, but they are soooo energy and resource inefficient. Up until T2 Tree Spreaders, T2 Flower spreaders with high-tier flowers are the way to go, both for oxygen and biomass.
On the upside, though, if you spread out the biodomes, you have safe places to regenerate oxygen throughout the planet.
This is the best series you have ever made, everytime a video comes online you make my day.
Blitz can you put a golden plant on the flower spreader? I think it'll be very cool if it work!😀😀

The reason water boils at exactly 100⁰C is because Celsius is based on water
Put an ore extractor on the uranium cave, the sulfur place and (most importantly) the osmiun caves
Blitz, get yourself some flower spreaders and put the golden seeds in them. Insane oxygen vs power ratio.

the best unit for temp, in science, is kelvin and we all know that the reason. The only reason people use degrees Celsius is because the scale is the same as kelvin meaning that the difference between 2 temps are the same. Celsius is based of water
I feel like a version of Kelvin connected to Fahrenheit would be better, since Fahrenheit is more specific than Celsius. Since there’s Fahrenheit units in between Celsius units

Fahrenheit is also more precise. The reason that water boils at 212 and freezes at 32 is because there’s just more units.
That was a poor way of saying that a 1 degree change in Celsius is larger than 1 in Fahrenheit, which makes Fahrenheit technically more precise

@@A_Professional_Idiot_mk.2 I think that has to do with education. Growing up with metrics you are taugh decimal numbers from very early on in school. Moving from only whole numbers to decimal numbers occure (in my country) during the 2nd year in school, so around when the children are 8 years old. So when you reach 10 years of age, all numbers are basically seen as decimal numbers.
You should probably get more water catchers whatever there name is that give you water and just more lake water collecter to make sure your hydrated :]
you can use that machine you built to decraft items to get more mushroom seeds

Dunno if the game goes into ppm for oxygen, but assuming it doesn't and that the goal is a legit earth-like atmosphere, you'll need to get O2 up to 210m ppb. *That* should be when you can take your helmet off.

Also what we consider the main temperature turning point (temperature it takes to freeze water) is 0c but 32 Fahrenheit

Hey blitz you should put the atmospheric water collectors in areas that doesn't have water in it like that moon surface area along with a outpost and food grower bang self sustaining home away from home
get rid of the t3 drills to recoup a bit of power and resources
Your really should tear down all of your old power production, drills, heaters, etc. with how much better each Tier is than the last, its just not worth keeping anything except your best stuff.

(NERD ALERT) 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨So I don’t see how Fahrenheit is BETTER as much as it is preferred, it does make sense though because F gives about 1.8x the precision of Celsius without having to get mixed into decimals and let’s you better relate to air temperatures. I also believe that psychologically F uses higher numbers for higher Temperatures meaning you can think of 100 degrees Fahrenheit as hot and not have to think a smaller number say 28 degrees Celsius was hot, it just can be easier for the mind to comprehend.
Blitz just recycle your old machine ( t1 and t2 drill,nuclear reactor t1,etc) because you can make better machine with resources you get from your old machine

It all depends on what you have been raised on so for you Fahrenheit seems superior and Celsius is awkward because you didn't grow up with it and is the opposite for me

The rocket bonuses do stack, but there's diminishing returns. In the end, it takes about 12 of each rocket (except the satellites) to reach the final unlock/beat the game.
It’s not diminishing returns, it’s just based on your base stats. It’s a percent increase to it. So if your base was 1, and you get a 1000% increase, the total becomes 10. A 1000% increase on top of that makes it 20, not 100. Because it becomes a total 2000% increase

Diminishing returns would be if the first one was 1000% and the next was 900% etc.
@@A_Professional_Idiot_mk.2 That's not the only way diminishing returns can be calculated. You can also calculate it based on the increase from the previous rocket. As you stated, the first rocket boosts your oxygen from 1 to 10, which is a 1,000% increase. The second rocket boosts your oxygen from 10 to 20, which is a 2,000% increase from the base of 1, but it's _also_ a 100% increase from the first rocket. Which is to say the second rocket increases your multiplier to 2,000%, but only provides you with a 100% increase from what you had after the first rocket. The third rocket increases your multiplier to 3,000%, but only increases your total by 50% from the previous rocket. By the time you get to the 16th rocket, your multiplier is 16,000%, but the increase from the 15th rocket is only 6.66%. At a certain point, you would get a bigger boost by increasing your base number with tree spreaders instead of increasing your multiplier with rockets.
