Great video mate, sounds daft but is this definitely cyan? Looks kind of different on their site with some gold to it. I'm stuck between cyan and peacock. I wanted the finish you have which is a dark bluey purple from the vid.
Hi Jason, It's definitely cyan, and yes it did seem to turn out blueish purplish, the paint is pretty cool, but something I wouldn't buy again as I feel its overpriced and considering its like twice the price of regular paint I don't feel it's worth it,
uhhh...it looks like you forgot your primer. That paint probably didn't stick too well. Paint isn't meant for bare metal. No adhesion. Needed an etching or epoxy primer. Preferably a 2k epoxy primer.
You don't need to strip the paint as the old paint acts as a primer and you are just making loads of unnecessary work. Just wet sand with around 300 grit
How would Kustom Canz Chromacoat look over a base color other than black? Would you still see the effect over a silver metallic base coat? If you have any left, can you please try it over silver or gray? White base coat would be interesting too. Thanks!
Hi, unfortunately I don't have any left to test this out but you would still get some sort of effect over a different basecoat, however I haven't got a clue how it would turn out
Hi, I probably didn't use enough clear coat as I do have a few chips here and there, stone chips ect, but I wasn't spraying in perfect conditions and spray canz are not that big to be honest so try to make the most out of them
In the kit you receive a black bascoat, chromacoat colour you desire and a 2k clearcoat, it instructs you on the back off the tins to do this, and also on other videos they do the same thing so if that's wrong then I don't know 😞
The music is from the editor app used to make this video, sorry you didn't like that, and if you're asking which way to turn the pin you simply pull the pin back first then give it a twist both ways, it doesn't really matter which way you twist it, after this give it a good shake for 2 -3 minutes, it should be good to go👍
@@ashbmxmaster and how has the longevity of the paint been- I really wanna do my trek remedy, but I want it to last well, otherwise I'll just get it professionally powder coated
To be honest I'd recommend the powder coat will be stronger, I feel this lasted the same as any regular tin of spray that you typically use, chips quite easily, but I did do it outside so that may have affected coverage, 👍
just a little hint can barely hear u the music is to loud
Beautiful work. I think I’ll go ahead and get some paint as well. Can’t wait for a new look on my bike!
Turned out great! Good work. Convinced me to order up

Nice colour.
How did you strip the frame ? Can you not just sand down the old paint ?

Thank you been looking for a video on this color! I used the metallic purple and base black these paints are awesome

Check out specialist paints website
1 coat is one single line pass, you applied too heavy in the beginning. Light sprays…. Mist and repeat.
The spray fan is big on these cans, got a chopper(yamaha not reliegh),definitely going to order now
Beautiful paint job. Thanks for posting.
Thanx for the video bro
You in Bolton? Where did you get the frame sandblasted ?
Nice one. Is a clear coat hard now, scratch resistant? Cheers.

Why didn't you use a primer on the bare metal ?
The black basecoat was the primer
@@ashbmxmaster definitely not, you needed a good etch primer first. Basecoat is part of the colour scheme.

MUSIC SUCKS AND WHEN YOU PULL THE CLEARCOAT HANDGERNADE PIN WHICH WAY TO TURN

So did you just use 3 cans?
Yes, 1) black basecoat, 2) chromacoat, 3) 2k clearcoat
