Despite the clean lines and strict tailoring, the clothes are so femininely pretty that it’s hard to see Raf’s influences on Prada. That is until 6:50 to 7:35 when we see the white dresses, which resemble the nurse outfits that Raf did for Jil Sander. Lovely collection, like Prada and Jil Sander having babies.

I guess others love it, but I'm still not seeing a cohesive show.
It's an inelegant & boring pastiche of Miuccia & Raf, it's like they've decided to divide up the singing parts between them--"you do the hemlines/verses, I'll do the colours/chorus"--rather than singing the whole in harmony together. And they've pared back the designs so much that these clothes could've been created by anyone--I feel like this doesn't showcase the strengths of either of these fine designers. Maybe another 3 or 4 years of collab & they'll hit their stride, but surely this show isn't what a successful collaboration looks like. Even the soundtrack is pedestrian.
I miss Miuccia solo at the helm. At least Miu Miu is still going strong.

raf is making prada so boring, which is why miu miu has been so good. miuccia needs to really bring back the prada quirk, raf takes himself too seriously. his seriousness is so forced and overdone at this point, i dont think prada needs more minimalism

nice basics, cool styling, some of the puffy skirts were giving lockdown pillow couture but not mad, even some of the weird hems were appealing. the ballet music at the end was kind of random but all in all a good mix of mamma miuccia and raf. love their fits too for their bow

What was I suppose to see? I know it’s not Haute Couture and Prada is in it’s approach quite simplistic and contemporary, but at least try to make me not forget it in less than 20 seconds.
Totally agree. I think it was too simplistic in parts. I really have been expecting more from these two legends working together but I suppose time will tell.

If a woman has ever dreamed of what her entire wardrobe would contain from playful and casual, to business, to evening...this comes very close. Addtionally, every season...EVERY season...my new favorite Prada shoe is the one from the runway and this is no exception. BTW how awesome does Miuccia still look in 3.5 inch heels?
